Not content with demonstrating her utter selfishness by moaning that she couldn't get her crap published because of 9/11, she's now demonstrating her utter ignorance of little things like the history of the 20th century.

She's just discovered her great-aunt was Goering's wife:

Emmy Göring , wife of Hermann Göring - who not only was a top dog Nazi but the major thief of European art (watch the movie, Monument Men) - was said to be the great niece of the famous publisher, Leopold Sonnemann,...which would make her my great aunt. Oh. My. God. Yikes!

Look, dear, most of us don't need to watch some crappy American movie to know who Hermann Goering was. Battle of Britain, Luftwaffe, ringing any bells?

Final Solution? Wannsee Conference? No? Just a stupid movie?

Hermann Göring was indeed a huge psychopath with much grandiosity and narcissism. I find it rather fascinating that he really wasn't that racist at all which is not uncommon among certain psychopaths; he simply does what works for him.

Indeed, in the course of her endless whinge, she blamed everyone but herself for her non-career. Oddly, not once did it dawn on her that she's a failure because she's talentless and unpleasant.

I can't even begin to imagine how STUPID someone has to be to describe one of the founders of the German Nazi party as 'not that racist'.

I think she might have overlooked things like wars and Holocausts and the Master Race.

It's stunning, given that the whole point of the Nazis was to be racist. Maybe she hasn't seen a movie about Krystallnacht, so she doesn't know that.

Maybe she has also missed movies like Boys from Brazil, A Soldier of Orange and Schindler's List.

Plus a whole lot of documentaries about the Nazis and their evil deeds.

Shocked again, I am. So Goering wasn't racist. ORLY. So what was all that fuss at the 1938 Olympics when they refused to salute a black Medal winner. Not to forget six million Jews and several thousand Gypsies.
If I was her, I would off kept quiet about that family connection. But at least we can now see where she is coming from.

She looks like an extermination camp guard to me. Sorry about that, but she does.

I doubt she lost any relatives in the Holocaust, in fact she looks like one of those female camp guards executed after the war.  The same fixes, glazed stare ....   LL

Good heavens, I didn't know that. And Bush Meat needs to be careful. It's an offence to deny that The Nazis were racist. Or at least it ought to be.

Denial of the Holocaust is a crime in most countries and in the EU and is usually punishable by a prison term and heavy fines.  LL

That makes Goering her great-uncle by marriage. Not the sort of thing ANYONE talks about - especially if they're claiming the mass murderer 'wasn't really a racist'.

So her Great Aunt was convicted of a Racist Crime, and her Great Uncle was convicted of Mass Murder. Very edifying. But it explains a lot. No wonder she loves Bennett.

I think what she is doing is comparing him favorably to Himmler who was the Reichsfuhrer SS and Reinhard Heydrich, his deputy, who were out and out racist and anti-semitic.  I don't think Göring was as evil as they were, but he certainly deserved punishment as one of the instigators of the Final Solution.   In the end he was a fat,buffoon with his crazy uniforms, but at the same time he was recognized by Allied pilots in WW1 as an outstanding fighter pilot.   As one who lost relatives in the camps, I abhor him but he was really, after the Battle of Britain defeat, a spent force.  At least Bushmeat hasn't claimed family ties with Himmler and Heydrich - or Hitler!   LL

Ah, but isn't this precisely why Goering was perhaps the most dangerous Nazis of all? He did have some strange ability to charm people, and playing the buffoon hid what he really was?
