If it weren't for articles like the one you posted, we would't be thinking about it now, Bonny?

It is, IMO, wrong to think of all this as ancient history, Lily. From unexploded bombs to arbitrarily-drawn national borders, people are still suffering and dying because of events 100 years ago.

Totally agree with you. I wonder what the next 100 years will bring as a result of what is happening now (not that we will be around)........

Here's a thing you don't see very often:
The cause is a terrible flood which has hit Georgia:

TBILISI, Georgia – Tigers, lions, a hippopotamus and other animals escaped from the zoo in Georgia's capital after heavy flooding destroyed their enclosures, prompting authorities to warn residents in Tbilisi to stay inside Sunday. At least 12 people have been killed in the disaster, including three zoo workers.
An escaped hippo was cornered in one of the city's main squares and subdued with a tranquilizer gun, the zoo said. Some other animals also have been seized, but it remained unclear how many are on the loose. Bears and wolves are also among the animals who fled from their enclosures amid the flooding from heavy rains and high winds.
There were no immediate reports that any of the fatalities were due to animal attacks. The zoo said one of the dead was Guliko Chitadze, a zookeeper who lost an arm in an attack by a tiger last month; the Interfax news agency said her husband also died in the flooding.
As of mid-afternoon Sunday, it was unclear how many animals remained on the loose or what species they are.
"Not all the animals who ran away from the zoo have been captured. Therefore, I want to ask the populace to refrain from moving about the city without" an urgent need to, mayor David Narmania said.
A full accounting of what animals were missing wasn't immediately possible because a large part of the zoo remained underwater, zoo spokeswoman Khaati Batsilaishvili told The Associated Press.

CNN Mistakes Sex Toy Flag for ISIS Flag at Gay Pride Parade
The cable news network aired an "exclusive" report after one of its international reporters claimed she saw terrorist propaganda during the London event.
CNN reported Saturday that a man was flying an ISIS flag at London's gay-pride parade, but it turned out to be a banner covered in sex toys.
CNN International reporter Lucy Pawle called in to the network after spotting the flag.
She reported that a man dressed in black and white "was waving what appeared to be a very bad mimicry but what appeared to be a very clear attempt to mimic the ISIS flag, the black-and-white flag with the distinctive lettering."
But both Pawle and her CNN colleagues, including anchor Suzanne Malveaux, don't seem to notice that the flag actually consists of images of dildos and butt plugs, rendered in the style of ISIS. Even Pawle noted the writing on the flag wasn't in Arabic, adding "It looks like it could be gobbledegook. But it’s very distinctive, the ISIS flag.”
"I seem to be the only person who has spotted this, and nobody seems to be raising any questions," Pawle added, saying that neither event organizers nor the police knew about the flag. She suggested later that it might be a "subtle" joke.
"It was very subtle and us Brits known for our subtle sense of humor but I'm not sure that everyone, if they had spotted it, might have thought it was particularly amusing," Pawle added, with Malveaux saying, "it may be a parody."
CNN also brought in national security analyst Peter Bergen for its "exclusive" report. Bergen seemed puzzled by the sight, saying that it's unclear who was waving the flag or what his motivations were and repeatedly noting that a gay-pride parade is a strange place to wave an ISIS flag given the group's anti-gay views.
Malveaux at one point wonders out loud if the flag could be a warning of a London attack: "This is our next location, this is our next attack," she suggests.
Internet commentators quickly pointed out the gaffe.
In response to tweets mocking her report, Powle wrote, "I reported no such thing." However, she did retweet those who identified what was really on the flag.

Pawle must be destined for a job as a White House spokesman, along with Harfe and that other bimbo, with brains like that.

A large alligator has attacked and killed a man who ignored warnings not to swim at a Texas marina.
Tommie Woodward had just begun a late-night dip at a bayou when the attack occurred early on Friday, said police.
Orange County sheriff's deputies and a Texas game warden recovered the 28-year-old's body nearby about two hours later.
ustice of the Peace Rodney Price said Mr Woodward was at the Adams Bayou dock with a woman when he took off his shirt and shoes.
An onlooker at Burkart's Marina warned the man not to jump in the water, and a nearby sign reads: "No Swimming: Alligators."
But Mr Woodward took the plunge anyway, the judge says.
He was immediately attacked by the alligator.
Judge Price said the woman jumped in the water to try to rescue him as he screamed for help.
She felt something brush against her, which the judge said was probably the alligator's tail.
The woman was unhurt.
A warning sign at the marina
You really can't fix stupid.

Man Dies After Lighting Firework On His Head
Devon Staples dies instantly after setting off a firework mortar tube on top of his head while drinking with friends.
By Sky News US Team
A man has been killed after he placed a fireworks mortar tube on his head and set it off, authorities have revealed.
Devon Staples had been drinking with his friends to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday on Saturday at a house in Calais, Maine.
The 22-year-old then placed a reloadable fireworks mortar tube on his head before setting it off.
Stephen McCausland, a spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said: "Apparently, he thought it was a great idea.
"His friends thought [they had] dissuaded him from doing it, and the next thing they knew, he ignited the fireworks and he was killed instantly."
Cody Staples, Devon's brother, was just feet away from him when the firework exploded.
He told the New York Daily News: "There was no rushing him to the hospital. There was no Devon left when I got there.
"It was a freak accident... but Devon was not the kind of person who would do something stupid.
"He was the kind of person who would pretend to do something stupid to make people laugh."
Mr Staples' death is the first fireworks fatality in Maine since the state legalised fireworks in 2012.
Devon was not the kind of person who would do something stupid.
Famous last words.
