Those Scottish nationalists experiencing problems in accepting the independence defeat are gleefully portrayed as stumbling through the Kübler-Ross five stages of grief model. Some grief. Seven years ago, their party remained in opposition in its own devolved parliament. Since then, it has become the natural party of government in Scotland, having achieved an overall majority of seats and having come closer to bringing the British establishment to its knees than Hitler, Napoleon or Christine Keeler. Its membership currently sits at around 70,000, almost three times what it was on 18 September. If Carlsberg made political defeats…

Check out the happy faces in the article - pic from the Labour Party Conference:

You all should charge over inflated prices for their troughs.

He is also wealthy because of an inheritance from his Marxist father Ralph and his share of the value of the former family home. He used this money and the proceeds of a flat he bought in the 1980s for £100,000 to purchase a house in Hampstead for £650,000. In 2009 he sold this for £740,000.

I will blog on this, kept very quiet during indyref, but Labour were exceptionally vile to me and other female candidates. Silence over.

Tam Dean Burn ‏@tamdeanburn 3h
@nataliemcgarry Why did you keep quiet on it during #indyref?

Quite. Serves her right for choosing to be a unionist doormat.

I absolutely detest these champagne socialists, LL - the US is plagued with them now, too. They are actually worse than Tories; everyone knows what Tories are, but these troughers pretend to be better, when in reality they are the biggest leeches going.

Indeed, Lily. It's all most peculiar. I've never seen anything like it before, it's breaking all the rules of politics. The Greens and the SSP are seeing similar rises, though they are a bit more 'niche' than the SNP. I don't know if it's because the unionist campaign was so dirty and corrupt, or if people have finally woken up, or what has happened.

But the three big parties seem to be in real trouble now, with UKIP causing havoc in England.
