Meanwhile, I see Obama is about to shove another knife or two in the back of the US.

He makes Carter look like the best thing that happened to the US, and that is saying something.

From where I am sitting, Lily, Carter wasn't even in the same class as Obama. No-one ever doubts Carter's patriotism, or his love of his country, and he does some fine charity work, in the States and overseas, nowadays. He may have been a bungler in office, and out of his depth, but he wasn't malicious.

Obama, IMO, is malicious, and for the root cause of that, look at his childhood and upbringing. He wasn't brought up to love or be loyal to his country, and boy is it showing now!

ETA, frankly, you would be better off with Putin as president. At least he would put his country first, respect its flag and history, and take water cannons to those pests that are causing such disruption, as scripted by their ringleaders.

That's another interesting one, Lily. He managed to hide his true character fairly well during his first term, but I shudder to think what he's going to attempt to do in the last two years of his presidency. There must still be a few groups of Americans he hasn't got at each other's throats, a few nations left for him to insult?

Just look at the expressions on the faces of those US troops as their commander in chief addresses them. Anywhere else in the world, that would be a signal that a military coup is due within the month.

The faces on those soldiers say it all, Lily. If that had been some Middle Eastern despot addressing his 'loyal troops', then a military coup would be on the cards. Never mind the US, I don't think the WORLD can stand another two years of Obama.

I watched an interview with Gorbachev earlier, Lily, and he was talking about the end of the Cold War, and his meetings with President Reagan, and how they managed to forge a peace that actually made the whole world happy, because a long nightmare was over.

Then he pointed out that everything they achieved had been thrown away in little more than a year.
