Trump leads with 35 percent among South Carolina Republican primary voters. Ben Carson gets 15 percent, and Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio receive 14 percent each.

All other candidates are in single digits, including Jeb Bush at 5 percent.

The poll, released Wednesday, was conducted Saturday through Tuesday evenings. Trump made provocative remarks Monday about barring Muslims from entering the United States.

It looks like his comments help him in South Carolina. Support for Trump increased eight points after his statement -- from 30 percent the first two nights vs. 38 percent the last two nights. The shift is within the margin of sampling error.

Republican pollster Daron Shaw says, “There are enough people in the last two nights of the sample to question the widespread assumption that Trump’s comments will hurt him among GOP primary voters.” Shaw conducts the Fox News Poll with Democratic pollster Chris Anderson.

You'd need a heart of stone not to laugh. There could scarcely be a clearer indication of the vast gulf between the elitists and the man or woman on the street.

And for the avoidance of doubt, I include the bandwagon-jumpers in Scotland in that. They would be better employed sorting out the mess they have made over important things like road bridges than virtue-signalling by being Outraged! by an American tycoon.

Anything to divert from reality.

I suspect he has been ROFL-ing over the past couple of days, as his polls have soared and the moonbats have worked themselves into a frenzy of Offended!

And I do love the way the moonbats always react to hearing something that doesn't agree with their mindset by trying to ban it - proper bunch of Stalinists, they are.

I do think he is correct but I do wish he would tone it down a little sometimes.  It could cost him the nomination.

A man has been shot dead during an "intelligence led" operation in north London, the Met Police have said.

The shooting took place in Bracknell Close in Wood Green at about 9am on Friday.

Sky's crime correspondent Martin Brunt said some sources suggested there were multiple shots fired.

Police have set up a tent to cover the scene and footage not broadcast by Sky News showed the body of the man lying on the ground.

Scotland Yard said the operation was not related to terrorism.

The crackdown follows a guns amnesty two weeks after the Paris terror attacks, which resulted in the recovery of dozens of guns, including an AK47 assault rifle, the same kind of weapon used in the attack on the French capital.

One morning's news makes a nonsense of all the p*sh spouted by Obama and others about the UK - and Europe - being delightful, gun-free Utopias.

It doesn't really work anymore, though, because far from being polite, Trump just turns round and says So what? I don't care.....

"The Middle East is a total disaster under her. She travelled back and forth, but look at all the problems."

Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace said: "What do you mean, hundreds of thousands?"

Mr Trump said: "She was secretary of state. Obama was president, the team. Two real geniuses."

He concluded: "She will be a terrible president. And I think I'll win."

Oh dear, that must be raycist, or sexist, or something. Maybe corrupt hag-ist?

The problem is that everything he speaks about it true.

Donald Trump has lost a battle to stop an offshore wind farm being built near his Scottish golf course.

The US presidential candidate had argued the wind farm would spoil the view from the the golf links at Menie Estate in Balmedie and threatened to stop further development of his project if the wind farm went ahead.

But a panel of judges has now sided with Scottish government ministers who in 2013 approved the 11-turbine scheme off the Aberdeenshire coast.

The European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre (EOWDC) project predicts the venture will provide enough electricity to power 68,000 UK households over a year.

The businessman had twice unsuccessfully fought the scheme through the Scottish courts arguing that ministers should not have given the green light because the farm would be seen by people at the resort

Mr Trump lost on both occasions.

A statement from The Trump Organisation said: "This is an extremely unfortunate verdict for the residents of Aberdeen and anyone who cares about Scotland's economic future.
The EOWDC will completely destroy the bucolic Aberdeen Bay and cast a terrible shadow upon the future of tourism for the area.

"History will judge those involved unfavourably and the outcome demonstrates the foolish, small minded and parochial mentality which dominates the current Scottish government's dangerous experiment with wind energy.

"While the EOWDC's "leadership" have stated the project will proceed, the onerous planning conditions remain unpurified and it is common knowledge that there is no funding for a technology that is now many years obsolete.

"With oil prices plummeting and the lack of money for vital projects like the AWPR, the EOWDC will never be built and comments that suggest otherwise are nothing more than delusional posturing.

"We will evaluate the Court's decision and continue to fight this proposal on every possible front."


I had a feeling he would lose that one, as the windfarms are nowhere near the golf course....they are also all over Scotland now, and the world hasn't come to an end....

Ironically, his argument about the finances has some merit, but that wasn't what he based the complaint on.
