What's not to like? The arguments against are spurious. Any naturalised citizen with dual nationality who is a convicted terrorist should expect it. It is a privilege after all.

What I didn't know is that if my youngest son were to be convicted of terrorism he could lose his British nationality. But I wouldn't be arguing against that either. Not that this is likely. At least, I hope not.

A man shot dead outside a police station in northern Paris may have been wearing a suicide vest.

Police union sources said the man attempted to enter the building with a knife before he was shot by officers, while the Interior Ministry said he may have been wearing an explosives vest.

Two officials have reportedly said the man had wires extending from his clothing and a bomb disposal team was sent to the scene...more at link.

It will be no surprise to anyone that the dead snackbar was shouting "Allahu Akbar".

If the 'refugees' carry on behaving in their current charmless fashion - which they will, as no-one seems prepared to stand up to them - then I can see sane people in Western Europe begging to be ruled jointly by Presidents Trump and Putin. With that nice Mr Orban giving advice on fence-building.

A Londoner today unmasked as a member of Jihadi John's ISIS execution cell travelled to the Middle East with an aid convoy reportedly organised by George Galloway in 2009.

Alexanda Kotey is reportedly one of four ISIS militants been dubbed the “Beatles” because of their UK accents...etc.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

This is not good news.

For what felt like an age they just stood there.

Back on stage in Paris and absorbing a euphoric welcome - right then the band confirmed what they already knew - it was the right decision to be there. Eagles of Death Metal were back.

Three months after their last concert in the city turned into a massacre, the Californian band were there to deliver on a promise - a celebration where they'd "leave it all at the front door".

And they did. All the baggage of overcoming a terror attack, all the grief, all the sorrow, all the guilt of being alive.

It has been a mad three months and every single survivor has dealt with it differently.

Some just couldn't face coming back - others who did had to take time out from the music to sit down somewhere quieter and absorb what was happening and just what it all meant to them.

Frontman Jesse Hughes thrived on wave after wave of energy from the crowd - a room "full of champions" he told them.

Never have I seen a man so empowered by his audience. As they belted out their songs fans surfed across the top of the mosh pit.

The gig wasn't worth much for musical purists - but it was for the people who were there on 13 November 2015 - the ones who made it out to carry on living.

After the show Cedric Rey told Sky News: "We feel great. We've turned the page on the attacks. We made it, that's it."

Another survivor of the Bataclan massacre, Lydia Berkennou, said: "I couldn't believe it, I'm so glad I could make it and I can't wait to do more."

Well done!

Shots have been fired at Belgian police officers during a search "linked to the Paris attacks investigation".

Three officers are believed to have been slightly injured.

Two suspects were on the run after the incident, the Derniere Heure newspaper reported.

The raid came as Belgian police continue their hunt for Salah Abdeslam, a key suspect in the Paris shootings and bombings which killed 130 people.

"Police were fired at," Eric Van Der Sypt, a spokesman for the federal prosecutor said.

He added that the search in the southern Forest district was "linked to the Paris attacks investigation". more at link.

The most wanted fugitive from November's Paris attacks has been "caught alive" after being involved in a Brussels shootout, say police.

The Belgian asylum minister Theo Francken declared, "We got him", referring to 26-year-old Salah Abdeslam, Europe's most wanted man.

Abdeslam has been arrested, and reportedly injured, during a major police operation in the Molenbeek suburb.

At least 10 shots were heard and grenades were also used in the operation....more at link.

And his co-religionists have been hiding him, presumably in Brussels, all this time.
