If he's egged on by his moronic supporters, if they keep giving him money - possibly, Sabot.

Those that imagine his grubby 'literature' could be published in the US might like to bear in mind what happened to Gawker, over far less than conducting a sick vendetta and accusing people of killing their own child.

His lawyer announced after the libel U-turn he would sue the McCanns for damages, claiming the couple's long-running court fight had cost his client money and harmed his reputation.

Oh, the Sun could make a nice graphic of a Golden Bullet, along with a piccie of his ex-girlfriend with her eyes blacked out - and not by Gonzo, this time.

Then there's the drunk-driving with a child in the car, and all the rest of it. The debts, the tax evasion, his friendship with Gangster Cristovao, and all the Algarve political crooks currently awaiting trial.

Should be excellent!

It would also give the media free rein to reveal Gonzo's links to the UK hate groups, to Head Hounder, to the organised hate campaign/spam, etc.

The media could tell readers all about Gonzo's past before the McCanns had ever had the misfortune to hear of PDL, about the debts, about his long record of chaos and incompetence, his links to the very drugs squad which is now under arrest for massive corruption.

Oh, please God, let the dirty ex-cop try it!

Amaral says appeal court decision is a "heavy defeat, not just for McCann couple but for all in Portugal who, unhappily, are loyal to them".

Ooh, Gonzo sounds like a right fascist, detemined to crush anyone that dares stand against him! Looks like Portugal still hasn't grasped this 'democracy' stuff - no wonder its legal system is the bad joke of Europe!

But remember, folks, we can say anything we like about Gonzo and his chums, cos it's free expression, and literature, and stuff like that. Pcorneater

Supporters of dirty cop Gonzo trolling a missing child's page. Are they obeying orders from Big Rocky Rocks In His Head, like good little fascist lackeys?

Quite, Sabot. He'd do well to look up the meaning of 'Pyrrhic victory'.

Anything's possible, Pedro. We've got several threads about the corruption problem in Portugal, which seems to be through everything from politics to the police, via the Algarve Tourist Board. It would be a miracle if the justice system was immune to it, especially the old boys.

Some hater:

I believe the biggest fear the McCanns have is not what Snr Amaral has written to date but what he knows.

Gonzo doesn't know anything, he never did. This has nothing to do with 'truth' it's just furtherance of the vendetta Gonzo started on the 4th of May.

What, these fools still aren't kidding themselves he has an Ace? If Gonzo wanted to make any great revelations, he has had more than ample opportunity over the years. He could have played that Ace on the Morais blog long ago.

Except he didn't have one, and never did. He's a total fraud, a perjurer and a bully - oh, and the haters needn't bother whining about people being rude about their beloved Gonzo - 'free expression' and all that.

Gonzo's latest new lawyer:

He added today: “The Lisbon appeal court decision reinforces our aim to go for a claim against the McCanns for damages over what have been years of financial losses in which my client’s good name has been called into question.”

Gonzo? Good name?

Exactly. Gonzo doesn't get to pick and choose where Free Expression is concerned. And his fan club can't complain, as they were all insisting yesterday that Free Expression was more important than any of the normal cornerstones of 21st century democracies.

Freedom of expression and thought is the essence of our democracy. If it fails, everything falls down.

I Freely Express the fact that that it's a wonder that deluded old bat manages to breathe, she spends so much time with her nose up Gonzo's backside.

No complaints, now - remember, Free Expression! biggrin

I don't think so, as his brother had to take him to court in hopes of getting some back. There's a long queue, brothers, banks, the Portuguese tax man....

Worth remembering that Gonzo would never, ever get away with his bullying and lying in the US.

For the simple reason that there, any lawyer for the McCanns would be able to make sure that every single bit of the mountain of dirt attached to him is in the public domain, all over the US scandal sheets.

Gonzo would have been exposed for what he really is long ago, just about anywhere else in the world.

Oh, it doesn't matter if it's true or not, Sabot (though if memory serves, it is indeed true). Free Expression is more important than anything else. thumbsup

As long as it's Free Expression, it's all good! thumbsup

One group I do feel sorry for - the many, many honest officers in today's PJ. As we can see by the arrests for corruption, both in local government, the Algarve Tourist Board, and the drugs squad, they are doing their best to clean up the mess left by their dirty predecessors.

But it must feel like an uphill struggle, with oafs like Gonzo and Cristovao always seeking the limelight. I know the present-day PJ have done a lot to disassociate themselves from those two in particular, but it must be disheartening.

They know better than anyone what a mess Gonzo made, right from the very start of the investigation into Madeleine's disappearance. They know he ignored the reports about child abusers in the PDL area - remember, it was the PJ that revealed they had DNA from one of the attacks. It must have been a relief when they finally managed to kick him off the case - not that he should have been involved in it in the first place.

That's the trouble with dirty cops, wherever they are - they get their honest, decent colleagues tarred with the same dirty brush.
