I doubt they could cope with that, Bonny. This is why they always retreat to "Neglect" and "Cover Up", and some of them will still be screeching that in twenty years time.

Started on? What am I thinking about, they already have, with their obscene imaginings about her father chopping her up, and their fondness for 'examining' photos and discussing ways in which she could have been abused.

They have started on the twins, with those snide remarks about the childrens' clothes, and the delight with which they fondly imagine the twins will somehow turn against their parents in a year or so.

Which is not going to happen, is it?

Because if the twins ever see the hate and filth these freaks enjoy posting about their parents, they will wonder just what kind of sub-humans these lunatics are.

One thing is for sure, Bonny. They will start a Campaign to prevent Madeleine from being returned to her parents. But that won't work. In fact we probably won't even know about it for some weeks, by which time the whole family will have disappeared elsewhere. This is one of the reasons for why Madeleine is a Ward of Court, and woe betide ANYONE who tries to track them down, or to harass them in any way, because they will finish up behind bars tout de bloody suite.
And no doubt they will all set up a wail to adopt Madeleine because they love her more than her parents and can tell her what rotters her parents are.

And of course the twins won't hate their mother and father. Jeezuz, no one has done more to find a missing child than they have. They are leading the World with a message of hope, and they have worked so hard. The McCanns have changed the face of Abduction. It will never be the same again.

I don't really know, Lily. If asked to pontificate on the subject I would say that their thinking is skewed because they don't actually like themselves, and so they don't expect anyone to love them. Basically a total lack of self worth. All rather sad on the rare occasion that I bother to think about it. You can't help people like this, so no point in trying.

In the end it only matters of what damage they do, Lily. And they aren't doing much of that anymore. Even some of their children appear to be horrified, if what they say is true, and I have no reason to doubt them when they say that their children don't agree with them.

Some of them have said that they don't do it in front of their children anymore, Lily, because their children get upset. One of their children actually forbade one of them from talking to their grandchildren about it. And I bet it hasn't been just one.
