Insecurity and violence in schools led the guardians of a company in London to create a personal safety course for teachers held this Saturday with the participation of nearly two dozen teachers.

Most participants are teachers in schools of primary and secondary school and some have gone through situations "unpleasant" in the classroom.

"I was young and short, they were teenagers, were angry and upset at the school. "I felt that [the student] was about to grab a chair to shoot me. My tendency was to remove me, but I could not get away from the classroom, had over 20 students there. I knew I had to do anything to try calm him, but I was indecisive, not knowing what to do, "he admitted.

So when he had knowledge of a self defense course for teachers, did not hesitate. As she reached the SMD (Martial Defense System) colleagues, some already with similar stories to tell, others only know how to act before any kind of violence, whether at school or in day-to-day.
