Well phone hacking is the in thing these days.

But what I'd like to know is if he was being blackmailed, how did the evidence get into the Portuguese and UK Media? If he had complied it would have remained a secret. And if he had reported it then it would have been blocked before it got out.

It could have been anyone I suppose; there have been odd remarks about this matter floating around the internet for a good few weeks.

Who can tell who had it first because The Sun was saving it for Sunday.

In my opinion then Bonny, Morais should check her facts before pointing the finger.

I too have contacts Sabot, but I use them to view things more clearly. Perhaps Bret should do likewise with his contacts; because right now, he is stumbling around in a very dark place..

As all this will, hopefully, be the subject of a proper investigation by the PJ, then whoever is behind it should end up being charged, and removed from the UK on one of those EAWs Portugal is so fond of issuing, won't they?

But if nothing more is heard about it, and Paiva is spotted working at a school road crossing, then we will know it was just another incident in the endless, internecine, forker feuds and bloodletting.

I suspect that we all think that Bret is in on this somehow, but he could have engaged someone else to do the dirty work.

He is a vile man who would thoroughly enjoy doing something like this.

Bret has said quite openly that he was sending stuff about Paiva to the Sun, Sabot - I speculated at the beginning of this thread that there could possibly be TWO Paiva scandals which have drawn the attention of the Sun and got tangled up together.

I just don't know, we are only guessing and trying to follow the breadcrumbs.

Morais' behaviour is interesting, though - she's gone into hyperdrive over this, and is lashing out in several different directions, depending on who she is speaking to.

Not to mention throwing 'hacked phones' into the mix.

It is not impossible that someone told her there was trouble brewing, and that SHE is the one who blabbed to CdM - Team Gonc use that rag as their private press office.

Do you know, Tony, I have just had a horrible flashback to about four years ago, when someone who called themselves Greenflag, who was a friend of BeoWulf's, was caught posting wierd stuff about Wulfie on 3a - from the same ip as Wulfie used when he was in Portugal sorting the PJ computers.

No, I don't want to even think about it.....

I don't actually think anything has been 'hacked', Tony, it has just been thrown into the pot, along with a mobile phone, because it's melodramatic and gets Paiva off the hook in the eyes of the forkers.

The PJ will know pretty quickly whether there was any 'hacking' or not.
