Hang on a minute, I am getting confused.
Reading the above quote, I get from it, Cristóvão has tried to frame the referee?
That's what I get, Tony. It sounds like an attempt to blackmail The Referee.
Read my second post on Page One, Tony. I think I have fallen down the proverbial Rabbit Hole. I automatically see perverse corruption when any of that bunch are mentioned in dodgy dealings. Blackmail and fear is what they do.
I am also getting quite good at deciphering Google Speak.

A direct cash deposit is much more difficult to pin down, Tony. But The Referee seems to have been in Africa when this deposit was made.
Whoops.

Oh Heavens - it's Sporting Lisbon! I should have looked at wiki sooner instead of getting lost in googlespeak:

I think we all do that on occasions, Tony. I am just fine tuned to this bunch of corrupt creeps.
They think they own the Effing Universe, and can do whatever they like. This is the story of their lives. And what they actually do is always worse than we think it is going to be.

I think he is perfectly capable of being an arsehole all by himself.
And interestingly enough, The PJ Disciplinary Committee appear to think he was complicit in the beating of Leonor Cipriano. Why else would they want his Pension?

IMO, Tony, Cristovao and anyone else involved in this will be thrown to the wolves, if there is any evidence to support the allegation. It is a bitter irony that there is more national pride involved in football than finding abducted children, but such is the way of the world.
No-one has to take 'sides' in this; if he has been playing dirty tricks in Portuguese football, he is likely to see the inside of a jail cell before too long - he will be made an example of.
And I don't think it would be a good idea for Gonc, Sargento, Flores or Carvalho to stick their heads above the parapet for a while; that lot have decorated too many daytime TV sofas for people NOT to associate them with Cristovao.

Bloody pathetic if you ask me. Small children abducted and abandoned. Innocent people tortured and convicted. Families lives trashed and ruined. But oh my goodness me, let's do something about a Football scandal. Hang the barstards.
Actually, it doesn't really matter if that's what it takes.

Yes.
Look at their arrogance, the way they act as if they are the rulers of Portugal, Tony. And look at their very chequered past 'careers'.
The whole lot of them have been arguido-ed more times than I can remember, I think this is Cristovao's fourth or fifth brush with the law?
It is entirely possible that Cristovao didn't expect the PJ to check the path of the money involved; that he resigned so quickly tells its own story, IMO.
Something was bound to bring that clique down sooner or later; I just didn't think it would be football....

Yes I know, Sabot. However, being an ex cop, wouldn't he have known to hide his actions better?
I suppose I can answer that myself. Ex cop, buddies still in the force, he thought he could get away with it. Unfortunately, he obviously didn't count on the referee's honesty, the bank's abilities, and the fact; that there is some honest cops in the PJ.

I should think the honest and dedicated officers in the PJ are sick to death of this clique getting them all tarred with the same brush, Tony.
As Sabot says, that clique are arrogant - look at the comments about Cristovao moralising about other people.

He did indeed, Tony, and a right load of bullsh*t and lies it was, too. The 'six bodies' lie was traced to Cristovao's grubby creation, along with a few other forum myths.
He wrote a similar effort about Joana Cipriano; he missed the bits about the torture, and his involvement, out, for some reason.
Not a very nice man at all.
