And why do you not tell people that Amaral was convicted for that offence and is still serving his suspended 18mth sentence for his lies in that case? Why do you not mention that he is facing another trial for actual assault in another similar case? Why do you not mention that even before the McCann case Amaral was heavily involved in debt and financial litigation with his own brother?

You make much of the fund for missing Madeleine and the accounts but neglect to mention that it has filed accounts every year to the authorities and has never been censored for lack of clarity. Unlike the fund to support the convicted criminal Goncalo Amaral which has never submitted accounts to anyone.

You make much of the libel trial but neglect to mention that much of what is in Amaral's book and documentary has been shown by the Files released by the PJ to be utterly innaccurate?

Why do you not mention the fact that this detective, Amaral, who was in charge of the sloppy investigation (read what the eye witness Keir has said above) is a bosom friend of Paulo Pereira Cristovao another former PJ cop who was disciplined over missing PJ funds and who strangely has risen from the position of cop who took early retirement from the gangster crimes unit to be a vice president of Sporting Lisbon Football Club and is now being investigated for serious corruption charges?

Those who rely on you for information in this case are very badly served. You demand free speech yet act as censor of any information which does not serve to make Amaral look good and the McCanns look bad.

For example there was no evidence of cadaver odour in the hire car. Your post about DNA shows a basic ignorance of the need for a reference sample which mixed samples patently cannot provide. It is you posting old worn myths (often culled from news sources which were based on nothing but rumour) and pretending it is evidence to support your belief that the McCanns "done it" whatever it might be. As Keir Simmons points out nobody knows what happened and your unwillingness to accept that fact and to accept the process of law which presumes innocence shows you up as nothing but a wailing banshee at the foot of the gallows, part of a lynch mob.

She hasn't posted one word about the Cristovoa scandal, about the action the PJ are taking against him, Gonc, and others involved in the PROVEN torture.

Neither has she mentioned all the comments that have been appearing in the Portuguese media about the Cipriano case and people having false confessions beaten out of them.

Instead, she has changed a CdM story to make it look as if everyone toes the Gonc party line, which simply is not true.

The lawyer Marcos Aragão Correia and university professor António Pedro Dores begin this Wednesday to be tried by the Court of Faro, for alleged defamation of a former Inspector of Judicial Police Gonçalo Amaral, after two postponements of the first court session.

The former inspector, who investigated the disappearance of Jane, daughter of Leonor Cipriano sued both by aludirem publicly that the alleged torture that was targeted during an interrogation.

Aragão Correia, Leonor Cipriano's lawyer, argues that courts have already found as a fact that his client was tortured, although the prosecution maintained the charge in libel suit that has Gonçalo Amaral as the complainant. Remember that, in the case of alleged torture of Leonor Cipriano, Gonçalo Amaral was convicted for the crime of false testimony, one year and six months imprisonment, suspended for the same period.

Marcos Aragão Correia enrolled as defense witnesses the current Chairman of the Lawyers, Antonio Marinho Pinto, and former director of the Prison Odemira Ana Maria Calado. The trial should have started in February but was postponed to March 29 because of a pending appeal, brought by Antonio Pedro Dores, professor and chair of the Association Against Exclusion for Development (ACED).

On March 29, the court again postponed the initial session for today, by Gonçalo Amaral has requested to be heard through videoconferencing, according to the explanation advanced in time by one of the lawyers involved in the process. Absent such a session was also the lawyer Marcos Aragão Correia, who lived in Funchal, which have made the same application to the Court of Faro, forcing the trial to be postponed for the second time.

No one of any importance actually believes this anymore, if they ever did. And some people of standing in Portugal are saying that they don't believe it.
One honest Judge of The Trial stated on record that he believed Leonor Cipriano to be Innocent.
Why is Laonor Cipriano still in Prison? The very large sum of money that she will undoubtedly get won't compensate her for the loss of time with her family and children, or the pain and suffering at the hands of Amaral and other corrupt PJ Officers.

I know, Sabot - the only source for all this bloodshed is Gonc, Cristovao and their cronies. I am sure no-one needs reminded of how little their words are worth right now.

Morais really wants to take a long, hard look at herself before it is too late. Her shrooms may still believe this garbage, but no-one else does.

Normal people in Portugal don't, as the shrooms would know if they ever used a bit of initiative and read the Portuguese media.

ETA, it's easy to see why she will never be anything more than an amateur, bungling, citizen churnalist, she is totally unprofessional.

The correct thing to do with news stories is copy them unaltered, and then express your own views in a manner which is clearly separate from the text.

Altering them to suit your own opinion is not news, it's crude censorship and propaganda.

It astounds me that the people doing the translations have been so "obvious" and so "crude" in their lack of honesty when doing them.

I've seen other examples where there is almost no resemblance to the actual original.

I even had one short extract of Amaral's book translated by someone I trust implicitly because I sensed there was something wrong with the online efforts and I was right. It showed that Amaral and his team were the first to deny a reconstruction when it most mattered. Not once have any of the antis acknowledged that as a fact even when the accurate translation was put in front of them. Their HATRED truly blinds them to TRUTH.
