Update - man claims to have found remains of Madeleine Mcann
About a month ago, John spoke to Stephen Birch, who claims that after a 15-month independent investigation that he has found the remains of British toddler Madeleine McCann.

Birch, a Cape Town businessman made international headlines with these claims, five years after McCann inexplicably disappeared while on holiday with her family in Portugal.

He told John that he travelled to London, met with his lawyer and hired a ground penetrating imaging device.

He then travelled to Portugal and from the scans he “illegally” took of the area believed to be the ground in which her remains are buried, he says there is proof that it is indeed true.

Birch joined John on the line from his Cape Town offices with an update.

He says that there is progress and that there is a major cover-up by both the British and Portuguese police.

He says that DNA evidence was planted in the vehicle hired 24 days after McCann's disappearance to frame her parents. He says that he has been liaising with investigators and investigative reporters in Lisbon and that together with them, he still believes that they have significant evidence to determine.

He says that he has a letter from the Portugese Prime Minister stating that they have checked the piece of land Birch claims Madeleine is buried under, however, he claims that even the Prime Minister is involved in the cover-up.

Quite how that works when Gonc has done the Chicken Dance yet again, I don't know.

It's most entertaining, though. They were all cheering him on when they imagined he could hurt Madeleine's family. Now he is making Gonc look bad, they've done a total U-turn.

Now that self-written (presumably) ABSOLUTE LIE by Birch on his Linkedin page really shows him up to be a complete fantasist.

How could anyone take him seriously after seeing such a claim from him. Its not only a lie but it is an abusive and nasty lie which could damage the genuine search for a missing child.

The man is nothing but a self-gloryifying egotist whose claims become more bizarre as his desperation to be taken seriously grows.

What is fascinating me, Greenink, is that the McCann-haters seem to have 'forgotten' the praise they were heaping on the WUM not that long ago; the demands that the McCanns personally dig up Robert Murat's garden on his say-so.

They have 'forgotten' how he was hyped up by them; they have 'forgotten' that entry after entry on the Morais blog was devoted to Birch.

They have 'forgotten' the special pull-outs in CdM that were so eagerly discussed by them.

All that has been 'forgotten'; they have air-brushed it from their memories as easily as a disgraced general air-brushed by Stalin from a photo.

Mind you, the fact that he had to accuse Gonc-PJ of planting evidence (with the best possible motives, of course ) does rather demonstrate why Gonc's Fridge Theory is a load of bollox. And why Gonc is avoiding explaining himself in court like a vampire avoiding garlic.

Yes - he could have suffered the fate of being accused by Carly of "dissing the dogs" - perish the thought. It just goes to underline the problem - all of their theories require a lot of flexing of the facts, some facts to be ignored, some additional facts to be made up, a lot of imagination and some unexplainable magic.

Where as "Madeleine was abducted from the apartment by someone who entered using a key" is rather simple and does not require any evidential gymnastics.

He says he has trained his mind to pay attention to detail, but his inconsistencies are so numerous and convoluted that it would be impossible to mention them all, let alone separate one from another in some cases..
But he is saying that he knows The McCanns are guilty. And Amaral knows they are guilty, so Amaral planted DNA Evidence in the car to get Justice. Voila.
He seems to have missed the fact that there was NO DNA EVIDENCE OR DEFINABLE FORENSICS in the appartment or the car, apart from The Familiy in general, and other unknown stuff.

And that is the Very Big Flaw I referred to earlier....
