Ex-teacher pervert back on trial

A teacher who was previously been deemed unfit for imprisonment and released despite being a convicted paedophile is to appear in court again over allegations of child abuse and pornography.

The 47-year-old male is due to appear in court in Wiener Neustadt on 19 November. A legal expert will defend the accused as suffering from mental impairment. The man is facing several charges of sexual misconduct and harassment of young boys in the production of child pornography.

An investigation began in August 2012 after the teacher acknowledged he was partly guilty for administering drugs to a boy before raping him. The man had already been sentenced to four years imprisonment for sexual misconduct in 2009.

However this jail term was suspended when a court psychiatrist declared him unfit for detention since he was affected by depression and claustrophobia. The man was then able to walk free until a new wave of accusations came from anonymous sources. In light of these new accusations the man was investigated once more and then declared fit for detention.

He is currently serving a four-year prison sentence. If he is convicted for the more recent accusations he will serve a further ten years and it is likely that he will be moved to an institution for mentally disturbed offenders.

this freak should continue to be in jail for life until he dies, but, not in a institution for mentally disturbed offenders, while in jail, the jail could be also used as institution for mentally disturbed offenders.

it seems to me that Austria have not learned anything with the fritzl case.

Sorry Pedro, but I correct you - the Fritzl case went on for years without anyone knowing about it until, as I remember, the girl had to go to hospital and that's how it came into the open. Fritzl had never been accused of any sex crimes at any stage in his life. The only thing he was actually found guilty of was incest and unlawful imprisonment of his daughter, there were no other accusations of other sex or paedo crimes. This man has been jailed before for child sex crimes, and let go free. There is really no parallel connection. LL

Wasn't Fritzl tried for Rape many years ago? I can't remember if he was convicted.

Yes in 1967 for the rape of a young nurse and went to prison;his wife covered up what happened and told the children he had gone abroad - apparently she was terrified of him. What i was explaining was that he was not a serial paedo, ie child after child, but just an incestuous rapist of his daughter. LL
