So if the opposition try any tricks, hopefully he'll be able to anticipate them - and ably circumvent them.

What, the lawyer for O Crime? He's certainly smart enough to know Gonc is as fond of paying for legal advice as Bennett is, and that Cabrita told Gonc he hadn't a snowball's in Hell.

This is fascinating to behold. They actually cannot see why every single one of their assumptions comes from false thinking to begin with.

They made up their minds that The McCanns were guilty nearly six years ago, and since then they have twisted everything that has happened to mean just that, as we are witnessing at the moment.
They will continue to do this until their dying days. And at best they will just screech Cover Up.
And when it finally sinks in that Goncalo Amaral will have to pay, they will sob into their beer and insist that The McCanns destroyed him, or that The McCanns actually paid him, but being an honourable man he won't embarrass them by saying so.

This is simple. Only The McCanns can agree to negotiate, and so only The McCanns can ask for a Suspension. Amaral cannot ask The Court to Suspend The Trial because he is the one being sued.

Not to us, Sabot. But the forkers and hounders seem unable to grasp this, hence them falling for the spin being put on it.

They don't seem to grasp that Gonc ran up the white flag, and then legal procedure took over.

I'm not going to try to puzzle it out, Pedro, Gonc and co. couldn't lie straight in bed. It'll all come out in the wash.

But it's good to know that Gonc has been told to keep his mouth shut while the legal people are talking; that is a blessed relief.

Amaral was effectively silenced when his book was banned, even if the ban was later lifted. He never quite recovered from that because he did become aware of the fact that he was walking on thin ice. So the Book Ban did work.

I find it hilarious that smiffy, who kicked this rumour-fest off, was jumping up and down and shrieking because the UK press were 'covering it up'.

Which has, most delightfully, been shown to be bollocks by none other than his adored Big Rock in person.

If Gonc's been told to STFU, then why did smiffy think the UK press would be printing anything?

Oh wait, I know. Because he knew naff-all about it, as usual, and was trying to make himself the centre of attention, also as usual.
