Don't want to put a downer on things (just being realistic) but am I correct in thinking that if Sombrero's update is correct then that is not the best news?
That would be a yes.

I have already seen it copied to other forums, so if it was removed because it was incorrect, it's a bit late .....

I posted some very basic information but I am concerned that there are reporting restrictions in place. My friend arrived after the case started. I asked the question and was advised that she has heard nothing but she missed the start of the case. I think its best that I deleted what I wrote not that there was much info in the post.
What? Oh, I don't know, they're all barking mad. And why on earth would there be reporting restrictions in place? The press won't be interested until Bennett is sentenced, until then, there's no story.

In other words a sock on Havern's has posted that and got it wrong.

Rosalinda V. Hutton @RosalindaHu
@DodgyDrPayne @k1482 #mccann The Gunnill affair should be publicised. It was entrapment, and not sure it was legal.
Oh, I very much hope it's publicised - I would like the entire world to hear about how Bennett and the gang tried to ruin Mr Gunnill's business.
And no, it wasn't 'entrapment', she clearly has no grasp whatsoever of what is happening today.

Hmm, here is an alternative scenario
Mike Gunnill ... Can I get a copy of your book please.
Bennett.... No I cannot send you one, due to restrictions placed upon me. However I am challenging them and will let you know if it is overturned.

"@Katycakes1 Tweeting from court not allowed without express permission of judge. #McCann more bad behaviour from #Bennettsupporters

@justinespencer You should be more careful unless you want everyone to know what you did, particularly the cops in your country.
Morais making threats AND malicious insinuations, is she? Must have learned it from Cristovao. And look what happened to him....

It must be going badly, or they would have been tweeting on their Bennett-authorised toilet breaks.

Re: BENNETT GETS HIS DAY IN COURT
I am pretty sure that Adrienne Page was brought in at the last minute to try and fight it going to a full libel trial.
There is no other logical reason i can think of why she was brought on board
They wouldn't know proper information if it hit them, mf, going from the above.
She may not have been brought in at the last moment at all. That is for starters......
We all know that Bennett could not possibly win a libel trial. Do they not remember what he told them after his Kirwins' expedition? Only one thing had to be wrong in his leaflet.
So, there you have it. He would be up the creek without his paddle.

In the name....how do they manage to fill in forms? Cross busy roads by themselves? No wonder Bennett had to tell them to wash before they went to court, and how to go to the toilet.

Re: BENNETT GETS HIS DAY IN COURT
Just imagine if it did go to a libel trial.
Judge to Bennett..... So you're saying the parents killed their daughter, I take it you have absolute concrete proof about this, and that the parents were convicted.
Bennett.... well, not really. Gonc said so
Judge..... That will be over £100, 000 to McCanns .....Next please
Shortest case ever

No news yet, then....?
What time was it due to start? If it started first thing, it seems an awfully long time for a hearing of this nature... in my opinion. I fear that the longer it goes on, the worse for TB, but maybe that's just my pessimistic nature showing through!
Was anyone actually going with TB to support him?
Yes and I have a couple of friends in the group but have heard nothing from them, and they would have been in touch. I wonder if they have all been instructed that they mustn't give out information? Maybe a libel trial in the offing
Don't be so damned stupid, it's in open court.

If there was reporting restrictions then the public Gallery, except for family members would be cleared from the court so there would be no risk of details of the case getting out.

Re: COURT 14 - Mr Justice Tugendhat - 10.30am tomorrow, Tuesday 5 February
Spaniel Today at 4:12 pm
Some weeks ago when I looked at the High Court upcoming hearings, underneath Tony's was Elton John v (someone or other). It was a recognisable name, paper or TV station, can't remember, but I've seen no mention about that either in the press.
I daresay the rich and famous, have people combing the media looking for such things and far too frequent to be worth reporting.
Soon Tony will be half way through his ordeal Not to go home and relax of course, as today will have thrown up much to revise for tomorrow, but half way.
Hounders miffed that they have read nothing in the news.........
PS Woof!
