The GNR Águeda arrested a man, 42, who was caught driving an electric bicycle with a BAC of 4.41 grams of alcohol per liter of blood, announced on Thursday that police force.
The arrest happened last Wednesday at about 21:00, following a phone call to the GNR Águeda to warn of a traffic accident on a roundabout National Highway 333, in that city.
"The patrol went to the site but have only found the driver of the electric bicycle," the source told Lusa GNR.
According to the same source, the man had minor abrasions and was assisted by firefighters on site and transported to the hospital for observation Águeda.
Tested for alcohol, the individual accused a rate of 4.41 grams of alcohol per liter of blood, more than triple the amount of alcohol in the blood from which it is considered a crime.
The detainee was notified to attend this Thursday at the Court of Agueda and incurs a penalty ranging from a fine of 120 days to a year in prison.
