hey amaral, hoho, know this: I will use the same words against you amaral, or againsty hoho:

we have understood your game, because we know that for you amaral, your despicable behaviour while coordinator of pj, until the moment you were sacked, with was a game with only one purpose to cash in (also to gain dirty fame) at the expenses of an innocent child, at the expenses of innocent parents.

Yup; sources say he's in a bit of a panic, between libel cases, the fact that the Yard have made it very clear that his investigation was a mess, and so many of his buddies in Portimao getting their collars felt in the corruption scandal.

Plus whatever is turning up in Arguido Cristovao's siezed 'dossiers'.

How long did we expect to wait for a new Trial Date? Amaral knew that once he had stopped the then upcoming Trial, that he had a fair few months to go on negotiating for a settlement.
It certainly won't happen before September, if not later.
Just how ill is he? Will he be too ill?

I've lost track - how many years has Amaral managed to delay the trial for now? Ironically, in doing so, he did the worst thing possible, as I doubt if he foresaw the Yard becoming involved and ripping his 'investigation' to shreds.

He would have stood a better chance if he had just gotten on with it, Bonny, although not that much better, since what he said is Libel, even in Portugal.  But Portugal is now heartily sick of this corrupt copper, as more and more of his dodgy dealings come out.
Personally, I think that The Trial will never happen.  He will settle for the shirt on his back, and might even keep the house that there was so much fuss about.  The house that The Lovely Sofa is entitled to half of, after she helped him rip off his brother.  Disgusting pair.

PS. I can't remember how many times he has delayed this, but it was always him.

and the country slides into further chaos, why, Gonc will no doubt try to use that as an excuse for delaying his trial for another decade or two.

if I were a judge, the hell with amaral´s delays, this trial had already happened, whether amaral liked or not, even for that,

amaral should have been brought with handcuffs into the court

(to humiliate him even more before the press, also to humiliate him even more before Portugal).

this amaral with such delays, proves:

he is a coward, he is afraid, he is trying to make his crimes to prescribe, which is a common behavior of criminals in Portugal.

It's very obvious he is doing everything possible to delay the trial, isn't it?

I wonder, with so many other political and economic problems erupting in Portugal, will it be quietly announced by Team Gonc that he has made an offer which is acceptable to the McCanns? Knowing Portuguese citizens have far more important things on their minds than the endless legal entanglements of a disgraced ex-cop?

An interesting observation, Pedro. You being Portuguese and all. The rot goes much deeper than just The PJ. But why do they get away with it?

I am so sorry, Pedro. Not much fun watching your country being torn to shreds. And I say again that you are a very brave man.
I personally don't care who knows who I am, but you are in a much more vulnerable position than I am, and must at least have considered being hounded and outed. As far as I know you are the only Portuguese man who has had the courage to join a Brit Forum and actually speak out about what is going on in what must be a much loved country to you. But then I have often said that Britain would be better a better place without the Brits.
To me Britain is a green and wonderful country that I have hoped I might be pleased to have been born in. But I am not. So you are not alone in finding fault with your country.

I hardly dare ask, and perhaps I shouldn't. But is your name actually Pedro Silva? Just ignore this if you don't want to say. I don't care if they know that my name is Maureen Lang, and not one of them has ever hounded me, beyond spurious remarks. They are all cowards when push comes to shove.

33/1 she has been visited either by UK police or PT police and has been shown the error of her ways.

1000/1 she has seen that Amaral is actually the liar others have (including PT courts) recognised for some time.

The Amaral fan club are getting excited because there's been some movement on the 'Morais' blog.

If they had actually bothered to LOOK, then they would see it's not Morais who is in residence:
