Porto: are fulfilling functions not operating
thieves policemen back to work
Ended suspension agents of the Good Shepherd suspected of embezzling 30,000 euros in fines
The two officers of the squadron of the Good Shepherd , in Porto, suspected to have diverted about 30 thousand euros in fines , back to work. The policemen were removed from service, but the suspension process came to an end , and they are now on operational functions . The CM , colleagues show up in revolt .
The two cops showed up to September 12 to the service , having reached the end of the 180 -day suspension . This was the deadline that the PSP had to keep agents away from functions . Were now placed , unarmed , in the squadron of Bela Vista.
The suspension was determined by the Center for Ethics of the PSP , which is responsible for both disciplinary proceedings still ongoing .
For two years , officials have diverted thousands of euros from the traffic offenses , but the case was only discovered earlier this year . A squadron leader suspected when one of the policemen , with 36 years working in the office , sued only ten of the 15 notices of contravention that had sent to deliver . Confronted the agente, he confessed the crime. Also promised to return the amount diverted - but never fulfilled - and accused another colleague of office , with 40 years of age.
The two were the only ones with access to the key locker where they kept the money from the fines .
The angry or bad mood is established among colleagues of the suspects was already great since the case was known . Now returning to work , the revolt dominates among colleagues .
Contacted by the CM , the Command PSP Port has just explained that the process of suspension of the two agents ended.

Re: thieves policemen back to work
What, exactly, do you have to do to get kicked out of the police in Portugal? Dirty cops who would be sacked in the UK, and probably jailed in the US, seem to be able to carry on as if nothing has happened.
It makes the whole force look dirty, which must be awful for the good, honest cops who are the vast majority. I'm not surprised the other officers are angry, it's dreadful.
