Crooks, conmen, thieves and alleged sex offenders get together in Switzerland

Davos 2015: Who's speaking where and when
The great and the good of the world's policymakers and economists are gathering at the World Economic Forum again. Here's everyone you need to keep an eye on this year
Treats like this are promised:
Friday, January 23
Recharging Europe
Session: What fiscal and monetary options will strengthen the European Union while delivering employment growth?
Speakers:George Osborne, Chancellor of the Exchequer; Wolfgang Schäuble, finance minister of Germany; George Soros, chairman of Soros Fund Management, Luis de Guindos Jurado, Spain's minister of economic affairs
What's Soros' idea of 'recharging Europe'? Yet more dead people in Ukraine? Will he be speaking about his multi-million dollar funding of the ongoing, and growing, mayhem in the US itself?
I wouldn't lend any of that shower of crooks the bus fare home.
And one thing that would greatly improve the world is jailing 99.99% of them.

Tony Blair on religion's role in the world
Session: Religion: A Pretext for Conflict? As the world sees rising conflict and intolerance from religious groups, the session will explore whether religious intolerance is actually religious.

EU printing money to pay its bills:
http://news.sky.com/story/1412921/ecb-pulls-trigger-on-1-1tn-quantitative-easing
The European Central Bank (ECB) has confirmed a €1.1tn quantitative easing (QE) programme aimed at halting the eurozone's slide towards economic stagnation.
The monetary policy measure, announced at a news conference by ECB president Mario Draghi, was bolder than markets had expected - with European stock markets rising and the euro falling in value as the core details emerged.
Its current stimulus programme would be extended from March when the central bank would spend a combined €60bn (£46bn) monthly on sovereign bonds until September 2016.
Its aim is to prevent the 19-nation euro area spiralling into deflation - an entrenched period of falling prices which puts consumers and businesses off spending.
The flood of money should also bring borrowing costs down, boost bank lending and weaken the euro further to bolster its competitiveness.
Countries under a bailout programme, such as Greece, will be included in the QE programme but with some additional criteria.
A political crisis in Greece risks plunging the euro area into further chaos, as a snap general election this Sunday could bring an anti-bailout party to power - a development which would potentially lead to its exit from the single currency.
The QE programme was announced two-and-a-half years after Mr Draghi pledged to "do whatever it takes" to save the euro amid fierce opposition to QE from Germany over fears it will stop national governments fixing their finances.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said any ECB decision could not replace government action on tackling debt.
More follows...
Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

That's all right then. Good upstanding people learning from each other.
Oh, I seem to recall George Schwartz's recounting of that horrendous period in l940 Hungary as the most exciting time of his life.

Quite frankly, if some Bad Country dropped a small nuclear device on Davos right this minute, the world would be a BETTER place.
I've rarely seen such a role call of monsters and thieves. And they all seem to have flown in on private jets - global warming is clearly just for the peasants.

I believe that if there was truly a problem with global warming they wouldn't do that.

From:
http://rt.com/op-edge/225187-davos-forum-blob-economy-swiss/
Then there is the rank hypocrisy. 1700 private jet flights in and out of Davos (the rest mostly take helicopters from Zurich airport - oh the ignominy of only flying ‘scheduled’). Then everybody consumes imported champagne and caviar while fretting about global warming.
If global warming actually existed, I might get worried. Hilariously, most of the linear minded ‘C-suiters’ and ‘PowerPoint pussies’ quaffing their money’s worth of booze, actually believe in the great environmental scam. Indeed they believe in it so much, many lobby assiduously to increase tax breaks for their useless wind farms.
The media divides into the pure gushers running fawning breakfast TV shows where CEOs trumpet the meeting’s success because they have to justify their expenses. Oh, and their business is going from strength to strength. Naturally some don’t achieve their Q1 results, and the board then sacks them for indulgent boondoggles when they ought to have concentrated on their day job. A second media approach discusses the 1 percent and a massive conspiracy to keep the rest of us downtrodden. After they finish another lavish dinner with three oligarchs and a hundred consultants - they will tell us just how awful the whole thing is.
Someone's a cynic.

I don't blame Germany for being angry. And if anyone knows what happens eventually when bankrupt governments print money to try to stave off disaster, it's Germany.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-01-22/billionaire-lectures-serfs-davos-americas-lifestyle-expectations-are-far-too-high
Billionaire gives a demonstration of why greedy people like him have been known to end up as dead greedy people when the peasants revolt:
Billionaire Jeff Greene, who amassed a multibillion dollar fortune betting against subprime mortgage securities, says the U.S. faces a jobs crisis that will cause social unrest and radical politics.
“America’s lifestyle expectations are far too high and need to be adjusted so we have less things and a smaller, better existence,” Greene said in an interview today at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “We need to reinvent our whole system of life.”
That PoS made his fortune out of other people's misery - homelessness, in this case. But....
Greene, who flew his wife, children and two nannies on a private jet plane to Davos for the week, said he’s planning a conference in Palm Beach, Florida, at the Tideline Hotel called “Closing the Gap.” The event, which he said is scheduled for December, will feature speakers such as economist Nouriel Roubini.
He has nice friends, too.
The billionaire said he’s planning on having dinner tonight with former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair, and will attend several private meals and parties throughout the week.
Parasitic scum, the whole lot of them.
