The call for them to become arguidos comes from a former Minister of the Interior, so presumably he will have no input in the final decision. He's just saying what he believes. No power, but does he still have any political influence?

I don't think they have formally made the application yet, have they ? One thing having your lawyer blowing his trumpet, it is another thing actually doing it. Yup, that's exactly what it is - I follow these things in the Portuguese media, they tend to come in handy at times like this.

It's not a reputable or important station, just another satellite channel.

Observations on the ongoing hater meltdown.

On Justice, the bannings of anyone who doesn't toe the Party Line continue as does the influx of trolls.

As an onlooker, I find that absolutely stunning. The trolls can't get in the door fast enough, each one stupider than the one before, and the people who can write competently and logically are the ones being targeted both by trolls and by the biased admin.

Putting all else aside, it is spectacularly self-destructive to decide to commit your formerly fairly neutral, intelligent site to supporting thicko McCann-hating Gonc fans just as Gonc is going down faster than a burning Zeppelin and the PJ themselves confirm that they have no interest in the McCanns except as the parents of an abducted child.

Because that isn't a 'detective'. That crap was written by Arguido Cristovao, who was kicked out of the PJ with rape allegations hanging over his head, having been convicted of stealing 800 euros from the PJ.

He is now due in court on multiple charges of corruption, gangsterism, etc.
