Madeleine McCann: 'UK Police Searches Refused'
Scotland Yard officers will reportedly not be given access to the homes of three suspected burglars, amid a row over media leaks.

British police investigating Madeleine McCann's disappearance have reportedly been refused permission to search the homes of three burglary suspects.

According to local media in Praia da Luz, where the three-year-old went missing in 2007, Portuguese authorities declined requests from Metropolitan Police.

It comes after it was reported that Portugese authorities had approved plans for officers from Scotland Yard to dig for evidence at several locations in the resort.

Crime Correspondent Martin Brunt, in Praia da Luz, said: "One of the local newspapers, the News Journal, is reporting that one of the things that is being rejected by Portugese authorities is a Scotland Yard plea to search the homes of three men who used to work here at the Ocean Complex at the time Madeleine vanished and are suspected of a number of break-ins in the days, weeks leading up to her disappearance.

"So that's a blow for Scotland Yard. They had identified three ex-workers who they wanted to talk to, potential suspects not necessarily around Madeleine's disappearance, but had been involved in break-ins, according to information Scotland Yard had."

He said disagreements over leaks to the media may delay British police in their efforts to scour areas they will be given access to.

"I'm not sure that those searches are going to begin quite so quickly," he said.

"Last night we saw what appears to be a developing row between the British authorities and the Portugese authorities about essentially Scotland Yard giving out information to journalists about what is going to happen.

"The Portugese are making it very clear that they were not happy with journalists being briefed. It's not something that happens in this country and in fact, the Portugese authorities, according to the Scotland Yard message last night, had threatened to stop any of the work once it begins if they hear that Scotland Yard are talking to reporters, or indeed if reporters are in any way disrupting the work.

"I get a sense that because of this developing row, that may put off what is going to happen soon, but maybe not in the next couple of days as we anticipated."

Forensics officers are due to use ground penetrating radar equipment to aid the search at three sites in Praia da Luz.

Madeleine disappeared from the apartment she was staying in with her parents and two siblings on May 3, 2007. She was three years old at the time she vanished.

Kate McCann told Sky News last week, on the seventh anniversary of her daughter's disappearance, that she needed to know what happened - even if it was the "worst case scenario".

"Madeleine's either alive or she isn't and we can't change that."

Hmm.

Frankly, the whole thing is starting to stink to high Heaven of a very nasty cover-up in Portugal. What is it that Portugal is trying to hide?

Portugal is in NO position to moan about leaks when 'sources in the PJ' are never done rattling their mouths off to CdM.

And it's only days since 'well-placed police sources' were telling all, supposedly, to that Brendan de Beer character in one of the ex-pat papers.

Considering the corruption in the justice system in Portugal that was revealed in the course of the Ellie kidnap case, it looks like there is something very rotten indeed in the state of Portugal.

Judge refuses ‘a number’ of formal requests by Scotland Yard in search for Madeleine
BY BRENDAN DE BEER, IN NEWS · 05-05-2014 21:55:00 · 1 COMMENTS

A Portuguese police source has told The Portugal News that some requests by Scotland Yard detectives investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann have been “rejected due to a total lack of foundation.”

If one follows the breadcrumbs back, it's pretty clear that the leaks are coming from PORTUGAL. Now, why would bad elements in Portugal be trying to sabotage the investigation?

Luckman is that chum of Amaral's that has also been publishing fake stories from the notorious hounder and shutter-lifter petermac.

Looks like Team Gonzo is actively trying to wreck the investigation. Now, why would that be?

Said a former policeman: “Bearing in mind it is extremely difficult to bury a body at short notice in hard ground, this suggests that police are looking for something buried before May 3. “Once Madeleine was reported missing, the village was crawling with journalists and search teams for weeks. No one could have buried anything.”

@urcrazytoo SY said Portuguese police do not want them commenting on their work. Perhaps the PJ want to do that themselves?

Here's the thing. Dirtymac can do his 'retired police officer' act and spread disinformation via Gonzo's chum Luckman and the foolish Mr de Beer. The forkers, numties, hounders and general low-life can lap up said disinformation when it appears online, and assure themselves that Tick tock, the tide is turning.

BUT DISINFORMATION IS NOT MYSTERIOUSLY GOING TO BE TRANSFORMED INTO TRUTH.

Sooner or later, it becomes clear that the real world is not marching in step with the rubbish invented by dirtymac and his ilk. Then we get treated to Tears before Bedtime and howls about Conspiracies and POLITICAL INTERFERENCE.

Does it never, ever dawn on the Gonzo fan club that they've been played for fools all along? That they've fallen for a pack of lies from some rather sinister people that don't want the Yard to successfully investigate Madeleine's disappearance?

Oh dear, have the Gozo fans seen Morais' translation here?

http://joana-morais.blogspot.com/2014/05/judge-refused-searches-to-homes-of.html

Scotland Yard regards the dogs that they want to use in the searches as “better” than Eddie and Keela, the sniffer dogs who alerted to blood and cadaver odour in the McCanns car and apartment at the Ocean Club resort.

'UK police searches refused by Portuguese judge' Th_thmuttly

PS - They really should try to get it right, the wonderwoofs did NOT alert to 'blood and cadaver odour'.

Some of the very-much-alive Gerry McCann's blood, yes. But as for anything else, who knows? Unconscious handler cueing, mayhap? Anything was possible in that circus.

The McCann-haters really should stop clinging to zombie factoids.

I confronted the sweaty, corpulent figure in an ill-fitting jacket twice last Friday: the first time at 10am, as he sat slurping coffee and cakes at the Kalahary cafe in Portimao with his colleague, Chief Inspector Guillermino Encarnacao; the second just before 3pm, when the two men made their way from a restaurant to a waiting black Mercedes, in which they were driven 400 yards to meet officials at the courthouse.
The reaction was the same both times: "No speak! No speak!" was all Amaral would say, making a swatting motion as though batting away an insect.
But Amaral's official silence is not the only difference between him and his counterparts in Britain.
In the UK, it is unlikely he would be leading the McCann inquiry at all.

At the center of this throng of egos, is a young girl.

Why don't they understand that in Portugal? Why can't they agree to put their differences to one side and do what is right for a child?

IMO, the Portuguese huffs and sulks are just the excuse, Lily. I don't think certain elements in Portugal want the truth about Madeleine's disappearance to come out, because if and when it does, all the nasty little secrets Portugal has been trying to keep swept under the carpet are going to come out, too.

Just look at their recent history regarding crimes against children.

THERE IS NOT ONE SINGLE MISSING CHILD CASE IN PORTUGAL THAT HAS BEEN ADEQUATELY INVESTIGATED AND DEALT WITH PROPERLY.

Not one. It's a matter of record that the PJ tried to smear Rui Pedro's poor parents, and look at the complete balls-up that case still is.

Casa Pia was a farce; none of the judiciary or police known to have been involved in abuse there were ever brought to justice.

Attacks on little girls on holiday? Swept under the carpet.

Or, muggings leading to the deaths of holidaymakers? The dead holidaymakers were smeared and blamed for their own fate.

Women having their brains beaten in with axes? Smeared and accused of killing themselves by hitting themselves on the head with an axe FOUR TIMES.

And these bl**dy idiots on the hate sites are all aiding and abetting the cover-up.

In that case, people who aid and abet criminals, and do nothing, are just as guilty themselves.

It must make them thrilled with themselves.

Some are more active than others. The Resident seems to have been taken over by Team Gonzo; all its main contributors are now ex-pat McCann-haters and chums of Gonzo, that are being fed drivel by ex-pat dirtymac, the notorious shutterlifter and Bennett sidekick.

Now, that goes way, way beyond having an opinion - it's deliberately putting misinformation and propaganda in the public domain in the hope their manure gets spread further.

Question is, why? What are they so scared of?
