Oh, FFS!
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/10/27/obama-weighs-sending-us-troops-near-front-lines-in-isis-fight-plans-more/?intcmp=hpbt1
The Obama administration is weighing moving U.S. troops closer to the front lines in Iraq and Syria while preparing to "intensify" the air campaign against the Islamic State, officials said Tuesday.
Defense Secretary Ash Carter testified on Capitol Hill Tuesday that the military plans a "higher and heavier rate of strikes" against ISIS targets.
Separately, a senior U.S. official confirmed to Fox News that President Obama is considering proposals to move U.S. troops closer to the front lines in the fight. The Washington Post first reported that national security advisers are proposing putting a limited number of Special Operations forces in Syria, and U.S. advisers closer to the fight in Iraq.
The changes would need approval from Obama, but the plans reflect an effort to recharge the campaign against ISIS -- particularly after a U.S. train-and-equip program to help Syrian rebels was effectively ended.
"The end state is to defeat ISIL," Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Joseph Dunford, Jr., testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday, acknowledging: "No one is satisfied with our progress to date." ...etc.
No-one in the region believes the US is actually 'fighting' ISIS, it's all for show. If Washington genuinely wanted to defeat ISIS, they would join the Iran/Iraq/Russian coalition, which is the only LEGAL force opposing ISIS, having been asked to do so by the LEGAL government of Syria.
Anything is illegal. Mind you, the coalition is probably safer without US 'help' - Langley would probably make sure the Russian base was bombed - accidentally, of course!

It is, isn't it, and desperately sad, too. These are the very people being destroyed by Obama's proxy terrorists - if there was any justice, it would be picked up by the US MSM, but it doesn't suit the agenda.

Any US troops in Syria will be there in breach of international law, and it will be entirely the fault of Washington if they end up on the wrong end of a Russian missile - the Russians are there LEGALLY.
Best thing Washington could do is get out of the damned way - they've done more than enough damage. Oh, and put that warmongering maniac McCain on trial for treason.

The Iraqi government never asked for and does not need any US involvement in ground operations against Islamic State terrorists. The eye-opening statement came only a day after the Pentagon promised its partner more ground support if it was required.

Islamic State
“This is an Iraqi affair and the government did not ask the US Department of Defense to be involved in direct operations,” spokesman Sa'ad al-Hadithi told NBC News. “We have enough soldiers on the ground.”
Hadithi made it clear that any involvement of US forces that stretches beyond their “train and advise” mission must be cleared with Baghdad – as mandated under international law.

Middle East attacks on Christians cause for concern - Russian ombudsman
Published time: 29 Oct, 2015 15:05
Foreign Ministry’s plenipotentiary for Human Rights says Russia is extremely worried by the threat the current Middle East crisis poses for Christianity, adding that the extremists who launch attacks posing as Muslims were discrediting that religion.
“Today’s situation in the Middle East Region is taking a critical shape, without any exaggeration. Radical extremists are conducting mass executions, destroy Christian churches, force people out of their homes and destroy holy sites with millennia-long history,” Konstantin Dolgov was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
The ombudsman said Russian authorities were "in the most serious way concerned about the fate of the 2000-long presence of Christianity in the Middle East" and reminded the journalists that since the beginning of the armed conflict in Syria the numbers of Christian population in this country dropped from 2.2 million to 1.2 million and that the most important Christian holy sites in this country had been attacked or destroyed.

Dolgov stated that the terrorists who used Muslim slogans as a cover for their activities were discrediting this religion. He also added that the outburst of this “malicious phenomenon” could be caused by the activities of various nations outside the Middle East region, especially Western countries pursuing their own interests.
Russian authorities and the Russian Orthodox Church have repeatedly expressed solidarity with people of Christian Faith that suffer from repressions on the part of the Islamic State (IS, formerly known as ISIS and ISIL) and other terrorist groups in the region.
In late September this year, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church’s department for relations with secular society, Vsevolod Chaplin, said the Church fully supports Moscow’s plan to render military aid to the Syrian government and added that representatives of other major religions would throw their weight behind the anti-terrorist effort.

“The active position of our country has always been connected with protection of the weak and oppressed, like the Middle East Christians who are now experiencing a real genocide. Russia’s role has always been in protecting peace and justice for all Mideast peoples,” Chaplin said.

Obama Set To Announce US Boots On The Ground In Syria, Russia Threatens Deployment "Unacceptable"
So, Obama is sending US troops into a sovereign state, thousands of miles from America, to support terrorists? I see.
I wonder how Americans would like it if China sent troops into the US to 'help' the Blacklivesmatter squad?

Re: Syrian terrorists being trained by US
I was watching Kerry give an endless speech live just now, Lily, and nearly threw something through the TV. Washington just does not seem to grasp that they have NO right to dictate who is head of state in other countries - especially after the Iraq and Libya debacles.
There ARE no 'moderates', never were. Are we supposed to ignore the fact that it's Washington's beloved 'FSA' that has been burning Christian churches, and that it was a member of the FSA that was filmed eating the internal organs of a dead soldier of the Syrian government?
Now Obama's sending US troops to interfere - God help them. They won't even be there legally, under international law.

Re: Syrian terrorists being trained by US
I will be amazed if Hilary manages to stay out of jail, Lily. That she's even running is a disgrace in itself.
Frankly, if someone in my family was being sent to Syria illegally, to help support Al Quaeda aka the 'moderates', I would be begging them to resign. Being killed by Russian bombs is the least of their worries.
Their first problem is that they will be there illegally, unwanted by the legal government of Syria. They will have no secure base, unlike the forces there at the request of Syria.
If they go to the Kurdish area, you can be damned sure Obama will make sure Turkey knows where they are - our Gallant Allies the Turks have been bombing the Kurds in the north.
If they go anywhere else, you can be damned sure Obama will make sure the Saudis know where they are, and the Saudis will tell ISIS and other scum.
I have little doubt that they will get killed, possibly horribly. The safest place for them in Syria is, ironically, on the Russian airbase - I am sure they can monitor twitter or something for the Russians. How can the special forces - any US forces - trust Obama after Seal Team Six met with that unfortunate mishap after killing Bin Laden?
