Syrian Army seizes strategic highway to Aleppo
Syrian government troops have cleared out terrorist groups controlling the Khanasser-Atharayya highway southeast of the country’s second largest city, Aleppo, after nearly 10 days of fierce fighting. Dozens of terrorists have been eliminated as combat specialists begin to demine the area, which has been rigged with explosives. The army, supported with airstrikes conducted by the Russian task force in Latakia, has unblocked the vital supply route connecting to the areas near Aleppo controlled by the regular troops of President Bashar Assad.
