Just read your post, Sabot.  That amount has been sequestered by the court since what back when.  It's not touched or should not have been.

I'm not sure that there was that much to sequester, Lily. They had to grab one of the Amaral properties, don't forget.

The case wasn't filed until a year after the book was published, Lily. During that year Amaral spent a fair old wack, including Sofia's face lift. I also read somewhere that they bought a B and B in Spain which would be hard to recover, if true. So I doubt that there is a Million Euros in the kitty, even with the house thrown in.

One thing's for sure - we aren't hearing the whole story from Team Gonzo, we never do. Look at the rubbish they've invented in the past to give them hope.

Gonzo's doomed, Bennett's just posted a load of bollox about what a Cunning Plan this was by Gonzo. And not once has he mentioned why Madeleine is a Ward of Court, just a load of guff from his less than stellar career as a social worker.

You know, Bennett has done that assuming again.  How does he know whether the McCanns' UK lawyers have consulted about the Ward of Court matter or not?  He doesn't.

Even so, it will be a simple matter of seeking and receiving permission.  What's not to like about it where the Justice is concerned?  The money could be paid into a trust account for Madeleine with the Court's jurisdiction as to the disposition.
