Good idea on twitter - to commemorate Madeleine's 12th birthday, let's try and get as many people to donate £12 to Amaral's fund in her name -

I can think of few things scummier than raising money for a criminal, perjuring ex-cop in the name of a missing child he has exploited to keep himself in earrings, hats, fireworks and beer.

All while he invented obscene, ghoulish 'hypotheses' about the child. And tried to frame her parents, conducted  a vendetta against her parents, and demanding that the world believe the child is dead - without a scrap of evidence.

Haters have something wrong in their heads.

They are foul.  Normal society would want nothing to do with them.

Not sure if I am right here Mimi, but if the fund reaches £25k are the tabloids going to pick up on it (en masse would be wishful thinking) but surely a lot more people would donate.

I am sure I speak for all of us when I say we are hoping for the tabloids to pick up on it, too - not that they aren't already aware of it.

Let's hope the Portuguese taxman and courts do, too - oh, and the UK taxman, because for all the fine words, it appears to be set up so the profits all go to she whose name is on it.

Exactly how do they think using a missing child's birthday to scrounge for money to try to appeal half a million euros going into a fund to look for her is a good idea. Can you imagine the papers ..."sicko trolls use missing tots birthday to get money for lying cop so he can try to keep profits from her disappearance for himself rather than have her parents donate it to a fund to find her" especially as they are tweeting that donate could help find her which is a blatant fraud.

Quite. Let's hope the tabloids pick up on that.

Do they honestly believe that the UK media has forgotten what happened in PdL?  Those articles about the fat defective eating and drinking for many hours in the day?  The defective who decided on day two that the parents had dun it without any evidence?  So said defective didn't even bother with a proper investigation to find her?

They are absolute, total, delusional idiots, frankly.

There is barely a media outlet or reporter in the UK that hasn't been on the receiving end of abuse and hatemail from them - often, of an obscene nature.

The Gonzo Scrounge Fund itself was adorned by a libellous, abusive rant aimed at the editor of the Sun in person for a while.

And now they're kidding themselves that the tabloids are going to forget all this, and write nice pieces about what nice Truthseekers they are? Wake up and smell the coffee, fools!

The UK tabloids are merciless at the best of times; what do these idiots imagine is going to happen when the spotlight is shone on their Scrounge Fund - and them?

We still seem to be waiting for some kind of an explanation as to why those handing over money to Gonzo:

1. Admire a man convicted of committing perjury to cover up torture.

2. Hang on the words of a man convicted of actual torture of a man in police custody - and in a manner worthy of the Inquisition at that.

ANYONE that worships Amaral, de Tavares, and their ilk, is saying crypto-Fascism is acceptable.

Time the media put a stop to this and told the world EVERYTHING about Gonzo and the sickos that worship him. There are very good reasons why he is virtually friendless in Portugal, which the media are aware of.

And he didn't get that perjury conviction for nothing, either.

Please note - only one third of his pension has been arrested to pay OTHER debts, just as the house he is whining about was siezed to pay OTHER debts. He's even lying in his whining interview.

And his pension is STILL over 2,000 euros a month - the equivalent of some £1,500.

How many of those handing over money to him have an income of £1,500 a month?
