Definitely.  I saw an old speech of his before he got elected, last night, about how he would have the most transparent administration blah blah blah.  Same clip.

I forgot, he wants to be the new Al Gore for climate change.  He can make a huge amount of money that way. 

If there is a word that deserves to be banned from the English language, Lily, it's 'transparent'. 99.99% of the time, it means the person using it is going to tell the most astounding whoppers, and keep whatever he or she is up to swept under many layers of carpet.

Really? Personally, I find his ongoing efforts to further destablize the Middle East, and to rattle his sabre at Russia, much more frightening.

Correction - they are the same as the nazis - the ones that turned human beings that died in gas chambers into soap, etc. Mengele and co did it for 'science'.

Donald Trump is making the best of having his phone number leaked to the public. On July 22, a mysterious Pastebin post appeared claiming Trump's number was 917-756-8000. The accompanying message said, "This is Donald Trump's personal cellphone number. Let the games begin. Not affiliated with Lindsey Graham." (Earlier this summer, Trump gave out Senator Graham's phone number.)

The post was removed but the number resurfaced on the gossip website Gawker on Monday afternoon. From there, it was carried by numerous media outlets and spread like wildfire on social media.

No one could get through to Trump's line, as it was constantly busy and then turned off. On Thursday, Trump addressed the situation:

Interesting to see the division between the US version of the chattering classes, and yet again, real people.

I didn't see all of it, but I was just waiting for that blonde female to ask Trump when he stopped beating his wife....she was, IMO, as bad as any BBC anchor being rude to everyone but the Labour party.

I really enjoyed that 'debate' last night.

I didn't see every bit of it, but I also quite liked Ben Carson - I do hope the Obama Effect hasn't damaged him.

Any UK politician that kept bringing his or her God into things would be regarded as a job for the men in flapping white coats, so that part was interesting.

I don't think The Donald would actually be a bad president, if he concentrated on the ceremonials - like NOT chewing gum at D-Day commemorations, and of getting America making money again, instead of losing it, and left the day-to-day details to the VP.

Interestingly, I cannot see him ever starting a nuclear war, not least because it's bad for business - Obama's instability and childishness terrifies me, frankly.

I can well imagine Trump and Putin getting together like grown adults and sorting out the mess Obama has created. For instance, I am sure a string of Trump venues would improve Ukraine enormously, and who wouldn't want to play golf in Russia at Trump-Crimea?

He's an odd character, and I am not sure I greatly like him, but that isn't an essential quality in a politician.

He thinks outside the box, though, and isn't destructive. He also seems to be genuinely colour-blind - the only colour he sees is green.

PS - I thought Jeb Bush was like his brother, only without the charm, charisma and quick wits.

I loved Dr. Carson's closing remarks.  He comes across as a very honest and kind person. I don't think he has to worry about the O effect.  In fact, it might be a good way of canceling the O effect out....

Funnily enough, I found myself turned off from Jeb Bush.  He was rather lackluster....

When a lot of the GOP hopefuls have been weeded out we will see how Trump fares.  I think he would be great for America in so many ways....

Oh, it looks like Biden is going to jump in on the Dems side.
