Video from dokuz8 @dokuz8haber captured the actual explosion. Am I seeing things, or are the demonstrators carrying hammer and sickle banners?
The explosions occurred at a rally dubbed “Labor, Peace, Democracy” that kicked off at 10:00 local time (0700 GMT). Turkey's largest trade unions were planning to get together for a demonstration to protest the Turkish government’s renewed military campaign against Kurdish rebels

Not too up on Turkish flags, as far I know they use the star and crescent, but I do know the PKK, the Kurdish People's Party, did have a hammer and sickle in yellow on a red background. Whether they still do, I don't know. LL

The number of people who have died in twin bomb attacks at a rally in the Turkish capital has reportedly risen to 97.
The latest figure from the country's pro-Kurdish opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) came after the health ministry earlier said 86 had died and 186 wounded.
The blasts occurred seconds apart outside Ankara's main train station, where hundreds of people were gathering for a peace march.
At least 62 people died at the scene, while 24 others died after being taken to hospital, said the ministry.
Health Minister Mehmet Muezzinoglu has said 28 people are in intensive care - and warned the death toll could rise further....more at link.
There is rather a lot of scepticism about just who is really responsible....
