I rather liked Carson, LL, but he was just too decent and nice to survive this insanity. He and Trump seem to be genuinely friendly, and maybe a Cabinet position suiting Carson's abilities lies in the future? Surgeon General, maybe?

Fox News anchor Bret Baier on Monday will host a one-hour Democratic presidential town hall with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The event, which will be presented live at the Gem Theatre in Detroit at 6 p.m. ET, comes one day before Michigan’s primary.

Sanders spokesman Michael Briggs told The New York Times there had been talk about having Republican front-runner Donald Trump also appear at the event. Briggs said Sanders welcomed the idea but that Trump turned down the invitation.

Initially Clinton's campaign said she could not attend because of a "conflict in her campaign schedule."

Monday’s event marks the first Democratic town hall on Fox News for the 2016 presidential election cycle.

It will also be Sanders’ first appearance on “Special Report.”

Unfortunately, Sanders is too nice to tear Killary a new one, unless he gets brave over the weekend.

He may be a mad old leftie who would turn the US into Venezuela, but at least he hasn't left a trail of corpses from Ukraine to Libya.

I really liked Carson too but he is definitely too nice for that crowd. Like Bonny says, maybe Trump will give him a decent position. I hope so too.

I can't stand Cruz, there is something very wrong with him, above and beyond his eating habits....

I am getting lost, Lily, are today's votes the ones that should point the way to who will be the Republican candidate?

I can't get interested in the Dems, it's obvious that Hills is going to be the anointed one.

Yup. I'd rather watch a station that is openly biased, instead of one that pretends to be 'fair and balanced'.

Oh, I somehow suspect that a President Trump will provide much fine entertainment, too, Lily. I actually don't know how the likes of the BBC, Guardian, etc., would be able to handle a Trump victory - and the moonbats would be in total meltdown, here and in the US.

So, last night, Little Marco got stomped on. And on the surface, it looks like a 2-2 draw between Trump and Cruz.

But....assorted people who understand this better than me are number-crunching, and tales of dodgy dealings are surfacing. Also, Cruz only seems to be able to win in certain circumstances, ie, closed caucuses full of religious nutjobs and God-botherers like him.

And he's now run out of those?

Still a little more to go, Bonny.  Little Marco is not doing so well now.

I confess, I am astounded by all these claims that Cruz is an 'outsider', Lily. From where I'm sitting, he's as Establishment as they come - right down to being owned by Goldman Sachs. You don't get much more Establishment Elite than that.

As for that barking mad religion he claims to follow, Dominionism, it appears to be a Christian version of the Taliban - I can't see too many people wanting to see the US turned into a Christian theocracy, somehow.

From what I can make out, Trump and Sanders are the only candidates that are NOT establishment, NOT for more wars, more chaos, more regime-changing.

It's a pity Sanders can't count - though Killary seems to have stolen his Magic Money Tree this weekend....

Of course he is Establishment, Bonny. They Establishment is fighting like crazy to retain the status quo. I believe it will get more ugly before it ends.

Agree, I suspect it's going to get very nasty indeed, Lily. And instead of shouting about Trump, the bien pensants would be better employed taking a long, hard look at Cruz in particular.

Now that's a real bad man.

It's funny the people who used to know him also don't have many nice things to say about him.
