Shameless Jeremy Corbyn supporters sell vile anti-Army propaganda branding squaddies ‘professional murderers’ and offering sick joke of ‘free prosthetic limbs’
The pamphlet was on sale for £2 at the Take Back Control festival in London, organised by an offshoot of Momentum.
Jeremy Corbyn supporters have been slammed for selling vile anti-Army propaganda branding British squaddies ‘professional murderers’.
A spoof recruitment leaflet available to buy at a recent pro-Labour event in London jokes about “free prosthetic limbs” being one of the perks of the job.
One line reads: “For your parents, a free coffin filled to the brim with assorted pieces of soldier in their own gravy.”
The cartoon pamphlet was on sale for £2 at the Take Back Control festival – organised by an offshoot of Corbyn’s Momentum movement – in East London on April 22, according to the Daily Mail.
The stated purpose of the event was to improve “Labour’s campaigning capacity” and the sick material was being handed out next to a stall where attendees could sign up to the Labour Party, the paper claims.
The material urges readers to “sign up” to “become a professional murderer” and “learn the latest murdering techniques from our skilled instructors”.
It also tells readers the job offers “the opportunity to travel the world and murder people of so many different nationalities” – listing “Muslim people”, “African people” and “Irish people” as examples.
Another line reads: “Caution: Although every effort will be taken to ensure your safety, professional murdering remains a high-risk activity and may result in your own personal murder or accidental death.”
A list of mock medals inside are labelled with things you can win them for, including “strangling a man”, “burning a dog” and “dying in a hole”.
Another cartoon shows a soldier saying: “Nothing quite beats the excitement of lying in a ditch crying for my mother, covered in bits of my best friend’s brain.”
And the vile leaflet also attacks the Royal Navy, saying its “primary purpose is blowing the teeth, arms and legs off child pirates and drug people”.
The 20-page pamphlet was drawn by Corbynite cartoonist Darren Cullen, who often tweets in support of the hard left Labour leader.
His website describes the comic as: “An absurd and potentially offensive satire on military recruitment and the false promises that come with life (and death) in the Army.”
Cullen is also behind cartoons mocking people who fly the St George’s Cross, attacking the police and branding those serving in the Royal Navy “suicide bombers”.
The leaflet was slammed by Tory MP and ex-Army officer Johnny Mercer, who branded the decision to sell it at the event “shameless” and “outrageous”.
Joe Todd, of Momentum offshoot The World Transformed, which organised the event, told The Sun Online the comic was produced in collaboration with former soldiers who are now campaigning for peace.
He said: “I’m sure you’d agree that we should support ex-soldiers sharing their experiences.”
