So, when's he going to break it to his deluded fan club that there is no Ace, never was, and he's stocking up on extra-strong Immodium because he can't keep up the pretence much longer?

I was never contacted by anyone from the McCann team. I was targeted with threats, with lawsuits, but it never materialised. I must confess I was disappointed..

So 'disappointed' he scuttled out the side door of the court to avoid Gerry McCann, after his lawyer dreamed up another stupid excuse to delay the trial.

I impatiently await that, since my book was published in Portugal, a year ago. That would allow for the case to be reopened and I could explain myself in front of a court of law. But Maddie's parents obviously don't want for the truth to emerge.

Goncalo Amaral has used just about every trick in the Portuguese Book, and gotten away with it. And Portuguese Law is looking like an absolute arse.

But you see, if Gerry McCann is now allowed to testify then Goncalo Amaral will have to testify also. This is the name of the game.
The Law has been changed. Although one might wonder why it has changed just now.
So what will Goncalo Amaral now do?

Do I care all that much about the change in The Law in Portugal? Not really. It is just a fact.
But the perpetual denial of the change is something else altogether.

The McCanns have been castigated for apparently refusing to testify, when in fact they were not allowed to.
And guess what? Now it is legally possible, Anne Guedes completely failed to mention this FACT.
And now the lawyer for Goncalo Amaral has done a runner yet again.

I don't think that anyone needs to worry about Goncalo Amaral. It's his bloody lawyers who are the problem. They already know that he is on a sticky wicket.

Apparently - though I stand to be correct - Gonc doesn't have to testify. It's the people bringing the case who are now entitled to testify against the defendant. Gonc can invoke his right to silence.

Quite frankly, as far as the court of public opinion is concerned, the McCanns have won already. Ignore Guedes' carefully 'edited' reports - they are not what they're being made out to be. How could they be, when there is testimony missing?

Just think of Mr and Mrs Average, who don't really follow this, beyond a vague criticism of the McCanns because the children were alone (but only vague, away from the hate sites), who really only want to see Madeleine safe and sound.

The message they got yesterday was that heart specialist Dr Gerry McCann, whose daughter was abducted on the Algarve, flew into Lisbon to give evidence against disgraced cop Amaral.

But disgraced cop Amaral's lawyer pulled a fast one and Dr McCann was unable to speak.

Don't pay any attention to the hater trolls and Gonc cult, they're all too thick and nasty to count. Gonc really scored an own goal with that stunt yesterday.

Sadly, there is no truth, Pedro. And more to the point, there is no evidence. Goncalo Amaral cannot sustain his theory, or his right to publish this theory as fact. Which is what he has done.

I just don't know enough about the Portuguese Judicial mind set to be certain of an outcome.
I simply do not know of how obsessed The Portuguese are after Christ knows how many years of being oppressed. Or even how many of them are still in power.

I have read a bit of Portuguese history, and The Glorious Revolution was a complete cock up simply because there wasn't anyone who was able to take over.

All the average person has seen over the last twenty-four hours is Amaral running away because Gerry McCann was going to testify against him.

The fact that Amaral's lawyer son was submitted to urgent surgery...I mean could that be related to the so-called Curse of the McCanns or their satanic practices as some have suggested?

Sorry, I am speculating but there are so many other coincidences but one can't help but being superstitious. Take for instance the recent spat of fires across Portugal following the Portuguese concessions to Scotland Yard or the storms in Algarve and Madeira, years ago. The people associated with the case that have died. I wonder if we were in Medieval times if McCanns' would be burnt at the stake................. .......................................................................................................
