How very dare Russia send in humanitarian aid to a mess on its own doorstep! The west wants those people cleared off their land, they don't care if they're blown apart by bombs or starved to death - Hunter Biden needs to get fracking on that land!

If any of the supposedly 'concerned' western politicians ever bothered to read international law, then they would know it is actually the DUTY of all nations to provide non-military assistance to civilians - whether Obama and his corrupt cronies like it or not.

If the west saw itself as much of the world does, then they would know its another nail in the coffin of western supremacy.

The west brings bombs, destruction and death, Russia brings water, food, medicine and blankets is the current meme.

Which country does Washington think emerging nations are going to want to do business with?

I'm beginning to wonder if that was the idea....

I am rapidly being convinced that the so-called 'leaders' of the west are either barking mad, or are being paid to be incompetent, Lily, after the business of this convoy.

Their Pavlovian reaction seems to have been, Russia's sending an aid convoy to help the people we have been bombing! We must stop it!

Just think how much tensions could have been defused if Obama had gone on TV and thanked Russia - and told those lunatics in Kiev to STOP BOMBING CIVILIANS. Now, I don't think there is the slightest chance of eastern Ukraine staying in Ukraine; previously, they were going to settle for a federal system, but now? After grannies have been blown up at bus stops, and white phosperous and ballistic missiles have been aimed at civilians by Kiev?

No chance.

Best thing Obama could do, IMO, is draw one of his lines on this mess and stop growling at Putin, Obungler is impressing no-one. The sanctions have backfired, whatever noises politicians make, most of Europe is furious with the US, and worst of all...

WINTER IS COMING.

There must be a diplomat or statesman somewhere in the US - even Jimmy Carter would be an improvement. Sit down with Merkel and Putin, and tell the lunatic Chocolate President what is going to happen in Ukraine, whether the Right Sektor likes it or not.

And stop killing people and wrecking lives - and economies. It really isn't worth it for a bunch of neo-nazis.

I do read the US media, and there does seem to be a deliberate attempt to keep American citizens scared of the bogeyman. Maybe it doesn't work quite so much in Europe as we've been invaded/bombed/attacked so frequently over the centuries?

Russia is buying German company RWE that was engaged gas reverse gas to Ukraine

The German authorities have approved the sale to Russia of the RWE Company – Europe’s largest company, which supplies gas to Ukraine reversible from the European Union

Thus, Moscow will block the resale channel of its fuel to Ukraine through Europe.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs of Germany gave permission to the Russian capital to buy large oil and gas company RWE, which through Slovakia had to conduct the reverse supply of Russian gas to Ukraine.

The German company intends to sell its assets to investors from a group of Russian billionaire Mikhail Fridman. Thus, German businessmen basically ignored the anti-Russian sectoral sanctions and intense political situation due to the situation in Ukraine.

Ukraine President dissolves parliament, paves way for early election

Ukrainian president, Petro Poroshenko, has made the decision to dismiss the country’s parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, a message on his official Twitter account says.

The decision comes because “the majority of the MPs voted for dictator-style laws,” which cost the lives of Maidan activists, RIA Novosti news agency reports citing Poroshenko's spokesman.

The election of the new parliament will be held on October 26, the spokesman Svyatoslav Tsegolko wrote on his Facebook page.

Poroshenko has called on “democratic forces” in Ukraine to enter the elections as a united “pro-Ukrainian, pro-European team,” Tsegolko’s Facebook post states adding that the Rada was dismissed “because it is the only right and responsible decision.”

“The Fifth Column in the parliament consists of dozens of so-called people’s deputies. But they don’t represent the interests of the people, who elected them, but the interests of some other people,” the statement said.

Neither Poroshenko's nor the Verkhovna Rada's official websites contain any messages giving details. However, the official Twitter account of the President's Administration also states the one-chamber parliament is dismissed.

Poroshenko, who came to power in Ukraine on June 7, declared his intention to hold early parliamentary elections in his inauguration speech before the Rada.

In late July, following the resignation of the government, Ukraine’s ruling coalition of nationalist Svoboda (Freedom) party and the Udar (Strike) party dissolved itself enhancing the prospects for an early vote.

On August 2, Poroshenko again spoke of a snap parliamentary election after the Rada refused to recognize the self-proclaimed Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics as terrorist groups.

Back then he also labeled the deputies as a “Fifth Column,” saying that he doesn’t know how to work with such a parliament.

The term “Fifth Column” originates from the Spanish Civil War of 1936-39 where Franco’s fascists literally sent a “fifth column” of spies and provocateurs to try to capture capital Madrid from inside the city.

Whatever could be next?

I hate to think, Lily. I bet everyone in Ukraine - bar the oligarchs, thugs and Hunter Biden - wish they could turn the clock back six months and not take those poisoned cookies.

They've managed to turn a european state into Haiti in less than a year. With a civil war on top of it, and thousands of dead - from people burned to death in Odessa by neo-nazis and elderly ladies blown apart in bus shelters to airline passengers shot out of the sky.

And as the hysteria over that has stopped, indeed, the whole thing has gone silent, I think we can take it as a sure sign that Kiev was involved in bringing down MH17.

You know what those maniacs in Kiev have done as a finishing touch, Lily? They've bombed the coal mines in the east, so not only does Ukraine have no Russian gas for the winter, they have no Ukrainian coal, either.

And I should think any money the EU or US has been foolish enough to give the Kiev government is now sitting in offshore bank accounts somewhere, waiting for the day when ALL Ukrainians have had enough and throw them out. If the oligarchs don't end up hanging from lamp-posts, of course.
