That will never happen unless the US steps away and stops financing the military and the politicians. The Jewish/pro-Israeli lobby is so entrenched in Washington it would take more than just words to stop them from making sure the money keeps on pouring in. It is, as I said earlier, guilt that keeps the support going; every time it might falter they play the Holocaust Card. All my Jewish friends, the ones prepared to speak out, are totally against the Israelis and what they are doing in Gaza. LL

It's very easy to play the guilt card as it's so powerful. The Holocaust was, as we all know, horrendously evil but at some point we have to move on. To be honest, I do know some israelis who are nice but others are so hard and pushy that I just recoil.

Thinking about how this is all going to end, is mind boggling.

What is currently happening certainly looks like war crimes are going on.

Chaim tells me that they are also screaming about anti-semitism in the Israeli press as the protest marches in other countries intensify. He asked some friends in London about this and was told that there were as many Jews, protesting against Zionism, as there were Christians, Buddhists and other religious groups. He says the consensus amongst the marchers was that if it was the other way around and the Muslim states were bombarding Israel then the marchers would be out on the streets protesting against that. Yes, I've seen pics of the protests going on all over the world, LL, and there are indeed many Jewish folk outraged about what Israel is doing.

And the Israelis are also screeching about 'anti-semitism'. When in doubt, play the victim.....

All Jews are no more Israeli zionist supremicists than all Germans were nazis, but the extremists are getting everyone tarred with the same brush, as always.

I see NO difference between what the Zionists are doing to Gaza and what the Nazis did to Warsaw.

The 'Holocaust' card is starting to wear a bit thin with the passage of time, IMO. We're a couple of generations on now; people lost their homelands all over Europe and have made new lives without helping themselves to other people's land and killing them for objecting.

I doubt if Netanyahu is thinking ahead, or he would know that the world is fast losing sympathy with Israel. If the day comes with his neighbours stop fighting each other, and the US economy doesn't stretch to bankrolling Israel, they are going to be in big trouble.

Netanyahu does have some history of recklessness, but only when it comes to other people's fortunes. Supporters of former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, who was assassinated in 1995, bitterly accuse Netanyahu of orchestrating a campaign of public vilification that led to Rabin’s murder. And there is plenty of evidence that he did: Netanyahu appeared at rallies featuring posters of Rabin in Nazi SS uniforms and with crosshairs over his face. Netanyahu fulminated that Rabin's government was “removed from Jewish tradition ... and Jewish values” by seeking peace with the Palestinians. Rabin warned that Netanyahu was promoting a climate of violence, an evaluation that proved apt when Rabin was soon after gunned down by a young Jewish extremist.

So Netanhayu had an involvement in the killing of Rabin? The Israeli PM who came so close to solving the Palestine/Israeli problem? Says quite a lot about him and his motives, doesn't it? LL
