What, as opposed to the BBC being little more than State Television? The BBC having been caught lying, and censoring news, repeatedly?

The current BBC is about as independent as the old Pravda, and considerably less independent than either Al Jazeerah or RT.

I think I could live very happily without Masterchef, though it's interesting that the Express doesn't seem to have heard of satellite TV. You know, the system that lets people CHOOSE what they are going to watch and pay for.

Getting rid of the BBC and the extortionate licence fee is a vote WINNER.

I gather BBC Scotland have just broadcast yet another 'debate' which consisted of several Unionists of assorted hues shouting at Nicola Sturgeon, with Jim Murphy doing most of the shouting. As is being pointed out all over the famed 'social media':

I refuse to watch anything with Murphy in it, he appears to be some kind of ranting, abusive husband demanding to know why his tea isn't ready.

Though I hope to see him losing his seat in a few weeks' time.

I imagine that Ms. Sturgeon is giving a few people some nightmares?

No doubt about that, Lily. But they don't seem to grasp they are NOT doing themselves any favours behaving like this, it is just what the vast majority of the electorate, committed or not, hate seeing.

The real poll will tell its own story, of course, but the opinion polls seem to suggest that every time they, especially Murphy, shout Ms Sturgeon down like this - they gain more votes for HER.

I am truly dreading the next three weeks, I wish it was all over.

He's an evil sh*t. IMO, he is actually far, far worse than Bush. Bush did at least have the excuse of 9/11 - not that that helps the fact that he should have invaded Saudi Arabia, not Iraq, but I digress....

Yes, that is exactly what is going on north of the border just now, Sabot. It's just appalling - and I am most certainly not watching anything else that consists of little but three Unionists plus the supposedly-neutral presenter shouting at Nicola Sturgeon.

Murphy is just...ghastly, bullying and arrogant. I don't know why Ruth Davidson (C) is acting as if she's impressed by his manly charms; she's openly gay, but seems to be starting to resemble a bad-tempered bulldog.

How can that possibly be called mature debate?

I refuse to watch any more of these 'Scottish debates', Lily, they ALL consist of Murphy leading the shouting and bawling. I think there's another big national one, with Milliband, Cameron and Clegg instead of the three amigos, so will watch that.

The big debate that kicked all this off on C4 wasn't too bad - and it was well chaired. For starters, the chair didn't join in with the shouting.....

It's beyond me why the three amigos imagine that Scottish voters are going to think that Shouting At Nicola Sturgeon is a good substitute policy for letting other people speak and THEN explaining just what it is they themselves plan to do in the future.

As if they all done such great job themselves. Bloody hypocrites. Got a better answer now, have they? Nearly half of the population of Scotland wanted out. Forgotten that, have they?
