Regarding Trump, thanks for posting that tweet, Bonny.  That is really interesting indeed and you can bet that Trump himself has it.

There seems to be NO doubt that US media did indeed report that assorted islamists in the US celebrated on 9/11, Lily. He may have exaggerated the numbers a bit, but not only the media, but eye-witnesses in comments saw them doing it in certain areas.

I don't think Trump ever says anything casually, or accidentally.

Oh, I see he's got it.

Just a couple of blocks away from that Jersey City apartment the F.B.I. raided yesterday and had evidence removed, there is another apartment building, one that investigators told me, quote, was swarming with suspects — suspects who I’m told were cheering on the roof when they saw the planes slam into the Trade Center. Police were called to the building by neighbors and found eight men celebrating, six of them tenants in the building.

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville Office of Diversity and Inclusion has come up with a list of “best practices” in order to ensure your “inclusive” workplace holiday party is “not a Christmas party in disguise” and that it refrains from being perceived as “endorsing religion generally.”

The “Best Practices for Inclusive Holiday Celebrations in the Workplace” holiday resource guide states that the public university “does not have an official policy regarding religious and cultural décor and celebration in the workplace,” however, “we are fully committed to a diverse, welcoming, and inclusive environment.”

In order to “ensure your holiday party is not a Christmas party in disguise,” the Office of Diversity and Inclusion has come up with a list of ways for supervisors to encourage individuals to celebrate their own religions and cultures without allegedly excluding anyone or even being seen as “endorsing religion”:

What a load of bollox! The only groups offended by Christmas are the perpetually-offended atheists and moslems - every other group on the face of the earth joins in, in one way or another.

Pagans in particular enjoy a mid-winter knees-up, whatever it's called. As long as it's not called the limp, lifeless 'holiday'.

Exactly Bonny.  I mentioned that just a couple of days ago when talking about holidays.  I make it a point of saying 'Merry Christmas'.   

I recall seeing film of a Christmas parade somewhere in England that was combined with Diwali by the local Hindus - a good time was had by all, with all sorts of colourful costumes from all contributors. And no-one was offended.

I guess the people who don't like it can dress like Scrooge and be called the Bah Humbug crowd?

Maybe that is what is behind so many leftist types also being pro-islam - they're all miserable gits that can't stand seeing people enjoy themselves.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has called for a "complete and total ban" on Muslims entering the United States.

The outspoken billionaire's campaign released a statement on Monday, saying the proposal was in response to the level of hatred among "large segments of the Muslim population" toward Americans.

"Without looking at the various polling data, it is obvious to anybody the hatred is beyond comprehension," Mr Trump said.

"Where this hatred comes from and why we will have to determine. Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it pose, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life."

Officials with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) were quick to denounce Trump's proposal.

Once again, as with illegal aliens in the US, Trump is proposing following the law and those whose ox it gores claim it's illegal or can't be done, the supposed evidence being that they previously chose not to do so and not to follow the law (in relation to illegals).

Trump is a consequence of people fed up being fed politically correct lies and half truths. If you don't like it, you need to ask yourself why he is there gaining popularity. If you had listened to all the many people who said they are fed up with with the rise of islam and its tendency to have intolerant views of gays, women, atheists, and indeed - ex muslims, and acted sooner, then we have a society that is less full of resentment and anger. You can only drown out the voices of law abiding natural born citizens for so long before they will find a champion of their cause. This is your doing, as you didn't listen and chose to label them racists or worse.
If people openly declare a hatred of your way of life, you would be a mug to let them in.
