Worth remembering that this isn't just happening to Trump - Sanders is getting the same treatment by the Dems, with Clinton's 'superdelegates'.

This chicanery is, IMO, extremely bad for the image of the US in the wider world. America cannot claim to be some kind of shining beacon of democracy, when elections are being sewn up by Party elites for their benefit, and voters' wishes ignored.

If this is allowed to continue, the US will deservedly be seen as just another oligarchy - made worse by pretensions to democracy.

Didn't it occur to the Globe that an awful lot of people would think their spoof front page was actually GOOD? President Trump deporting illegals, foreign criminals, etc - what's not to like?

The polls have been all over the place, but if that is anything like correct, Cruz is going to get a well-deserved thrashing in the Big Apple.

I simply cannot understand why ANYONE, whatever their gender, creed or colour, would vote for Cruz. I can understand people voting for Kasich and his kindly grandpa act, as someone who won't frighten the horses, but Cruz?

In an hour-long interview Thursday in his New York office, Trump promised, “The time is going to be soon.”

The last president who was Presidential was Ronald Reagan. He was even Presidential when he was shot.

The Donald won't have to try too hard to beat his more recent predecessors.

There was mention made that Cruz was nice to delegates. Something about trips.

So, I also heard that Trump could take some to his Mar a Lago home on his jet.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign manager will not be prosecuted on a charge of misdemeanor battery over allegations he grabbed the arm of a reporter, the campaign confirmed late Wednesday.

Trump campaign social media director Dan Scavino posted on his Facebook page that the charge would not be pressed against Corey Lewandowski.

The decision not to prosecute Lewandowski was first reported by Politico. Palm Beach County State Attorney David Aronberg was scheduled to formally announce his decision on Thursday afternoon.


I should think not. Also, Fielding seems to have a history of making false allegations like this. If she can't cut it in the big, bad world, maybe she and the rest of the 'fiesty female journos' should stick to covering knitting, or flower arranging, or something.

In mid-March, when thousands of protesters took to the streets of Chicago to protest Donald Trump's rally there, eventually leading the candidate to cancel the event indefinitely, many of those watching noted that the outcome wasn't really a surprise.

Well, the bit where Trump won with a YUUUUGE margin wasn't really a surprise, not after the unwashed rioters had succeeded in disgusting the good people of Illinois.

Similar rioting in New York will doubtless have the same effect.

I honestly think that loads of people are now sick to death of hearing about people protesting/rioting. It's like on deaf ears....
