Scotland Yard would be better occupied pursuing Hounders, Stalkers and Defamers than pursuing the people who are being Defamed by false allegations.

I think that that is what his Lordship is hoping is going to happen, Sabot? I only saw the tweets made by the Usual Suspects in this part of the internet; I shudder to think what some of the others were like. And the material on that blog Bennett was directing people to was very nasty indeed.

I wonder how they are going to deal with overseas posters who use British hashtags. Something will have to be done about them.
Personally, I couldn't care less if Twitter and FaceBook lose revenue, or even fail completely.

Aw, shame, all the hounders are crying because Lord McAlpine is seeking damages from the people who accused him of a heinous crime. What did they think was going to happen? Did they think they were going to be left to libel, smear and attack forever?

They finally picked on the wrong victim, so - tough. They should also think long and hard about some of their other vile remarks about innocent people.

I can't remember, Bonny. I spent too much time believing in Sources and any old crap The Press decided to print. This only actually came home to me when The Affair McCann took off, and I started to look for proof of what they were saying, of which there was none. As we all now know.
But The Press hasn't become more responsible, as witnessed by The Yeates Affair, and lately The Jimmy Savile Affair, Let alone The Leveson Inquiry. The Press are totally incapable of regulating themselves. This is a fact. They do untold damage and then cough up a fraction of what they made in sales to any arsehole who wants to read the worst about anyone. Sadly, they have to be stopped.
Not that I care all that much. They wouldn't get away with it here.
