And what's with the poor old pensioner garbage? He wasn't a pensioner when he started his harrassment. Are we to assume from their horror at the thought of pensioners being jailed, that if Savile had been charged in 2007 when he was alive, they would have been pleading for him not to be jailed?

Doesn't Bennett think he's worth a QC? And it's only a woman, so I don't think they want to frighten him too much. I mean, what would he have done if it was a leading male barrister?

He didn't seem to be intimidated when he was busy hiding in bushes while others were leafleting around Rothley. Or photographing the McCann home. Or eating crumble in Gerry's hospital where he works.

How about when he sat behind Gerry? Or, tried to get him struck of the Medical Register. Or, tried to get the twins taken from him and Kate?

Was he frightened then? So why is he frightened now? I mean, he's a kind soul, he's never caused the McCanns any worry, has he?
