That's what worries me, Jean Pierre. If he's the best they've got then just how much damage did he do to the Police Force that he purports to have served. He doesn't even know The Laws of Custody let alone understands Evidence.

Clearly not, or she would know that 25 years is the MAXIMUM for any crime in Portugal, hence the grotesque spectacle of King Ghoba only getting 25 years (and whining about that) for three murders and numerous rapes and assaults.

It's been explained a million times that while the McCanns made a terrible error in their checking regime, the children were NOT neglected under Portuguese law or any other.

It was hardly the McCanns' fault that they fell for the hype about PDL being family-friendly. Pity they hadn't known about the burglaries in the area, or the other incidents involving the children of British tourists.

If certain people were not so hell bent on using mendacious propaganda - and if newspapers and other media outlets were allowed to do a thorough, investigative job on this case instead of being fearful of receiving lawsuits from the vexatious litigants - then frustrated individuals (who can see through the fairytale) would not feel it necessary to use methods which some might consider unorthodox.
