The McCanns very well paid lawyer, Isobel, in the TB vs McCanns case had to withdraw her sworn testamony citing that she had only been told Madeleine had been 'abducted' by her clients, the McCanns.
She could provide not a scintilla of evidence to back up her sworn statement in a real court that in FACT Madeleine 'had been abducted'

That jeanmonroe is typical of the Gonc Adoration Brigade or GAB.  She still hasn't got the title of McCanns v. Bennett's case correct. Let alone what happened.  What hope is there for any legal understanding in this?

Really? As that is according to Guedes, who has lied several times on that site, and lied yesterday about events in court, think I'll wait for a more reliable, honest Source.

Correction to our earlier post. The Judge at today's hearing in Lisbon failed to return to the Court after lunch leaving case in limbo.

So, why has Brunt said nothing about any of this? Sounds like more bullsh't from Guedes to me, who managed to miss one or two rather important details from her report yesterday.

Like her beloved Amoral trying to keep the press out of the court.

I heard the trial was halted after a statement from Amaral's lawyer.

The Justice people really should know better than to believe anything from forkers by now, especially that one - she's told some whoppers on their site.

I don't understand why they cannot tell the truth.

They take their cue from their idol, the convicted perjurer?

I don't know why they do it, either, Tony - the truth always comes out. As it will about this matter.

Maddie libel case suspended in Portugal

Libel proceedings brought by the parents of missing British girl Madeleine McCann against a former Portuguese detective who wrote a book about the case have been abruptly suspended.
The Lisbon court had been due to hear evidence from members of the McCann family about the effect that the book by Goncalo Amaral had on them and the search for Madeleine, who was three when she disappeared in 2007 as the family holidayed on the Algarve.

Inside the courtroom, she had avoided the gaze of Amaral, who led the Portuguese police investigation.

He claims he was fully entitled to write the book under Portuguese law. In it, he advances the theory that Madeleine died accidentally and that her parents were implicated in her death.

The family is seeking the equivalent of STG1 million ($A1.74 million) in damages.

David Trickey - the psychologist who has been helping the McCanns' two other children, twins Sean and Amelie, since 2007 - told the court he was concerned that they would one day be able to read Amaral's book.

The McCanns have unsuccessfully tried to ban the book. It was taken off sale but is now back on the shelves.

British police said in August they were opening their own investigation into Madeleine's disappearance. She was just a few days short of her fourth birthday when she vanished.

Her parents believe she was kidnapped and is still alive.
