Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
In the wierd and wonderful world of the OH NOES!, Tesco charges £2.50 for baked beans....
and £3.49 for frozen peas....must be a Speshul Tesco for Posh People. Also, please note, that their supposed 'Tesco shopping list' from Eire is also in sterling.
Despite Eire using euros....
Not surprisingly, Tesco are not best pleased at being hijacked and lied about in this way, especially as they don't give a flying one who wins, as long as people keep buying their baked beans.....which cost about 50p-60p.
As for £10 for baby wipes......

Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
Was wondering how on earth people could afford those prices as Heinz Baked Beans don't cost that much here. Admittedly not all stores carry them but when they do, they are nowhere near that. You have to figure in overseas shipping costs.
Those Nos are definitely NOT desperate are they?

Supermarket giant Tesco has played down claims its prices would rise in an independent Scotland.
It described the suggestion in a pro-Union Better Together campaign leaflet as "entirely speculative".
A spokesman for Tesco said the company was "neutral on the referendum" which was "a matter for the Scottish people."
But Labour's Jackie Ballie, speaking on behalf of Better Together, said a "Yes" vote would "cost families in Scotland dear".
The statement from the UK supermarket was made after pro-Union literature used Tesco prices in Ireland to suggest that shopping in Scotland could cost 16% more after a "Yes" vote.
In a letter to a customer who had inquired about the claim in the leaflet, Tesco said "I can confirm that this is not true", adding that it had "a great business in Scotland" and would "continue to offer the best prices whatever the outcome of the referendum".
Tesco said that higher labour and energy costs, along with government levies on certain products such as wine, pushed up some prices in Irish supermarkets.
But the company insisted that "some items of fresh produce, meats and other household items" were actually cheaper in Tesco's stores in Ireland than in its stores in the UK.

Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
You see, I don't have anything sensible to say when it comes to Baked Beans. You have to get to the heart of what you think of Scotland.
And if you have no conception of Scotland as a place, then you can't understand what anyone is talking about.
But then that is the problem. I loved Scotland in the days when Glasgow was a very old an dirty place. And look at how bloody beautiful Glasgow is now.
The Highlands are another thing altogether, and absolutely nothing to do with me, beyond how I personally feel. My love is only my own.
I am not a Scots woman. But I probably love Scotland more than some of their own.

'007, reporting for duty, First Minister.' Pic: Deadline News
Sean Connery will serve as the head of an independent Scotland's intelligence agency, it has been confirmed.
The actor is best known for playing suave British spy James Bond in the film adaptations of Ian Fleming's novels. And for that borderline creepy film Entrapment where he improbably ends up with a 29-year-old Catherine Zeta-Jones.
The First Minister announced Sir Sean would become director-general of AyeSpy, a new security agency to be set up after a Yes vote. Mr Salmond said he would task AyeSpy with handling his top priorities: intelligence-gathering, counter-terrorism, and keeping Jim Sillars off TV.
The annoucement comes after the Scottish Government suffered a series of attacks on its intelligence and security proposals in the event of a Yes vote on September 18.
Better Together, the positive all-party campaign to scare the holy living s*** out of every last person in Scotland, has so far rolled out former Secret Intelligence Service chief Sir John Scarlett and ex Nato commander General Sir Richard Shirreff to warn of the dire consequences facing Scotland if it tried to just get along with other countries instead of bombing them at random intervals.
It is understood the No campaign is preparing to unveil another intelligence community heavy-hitter, Austin Powers, who will slam the Nationalists' plans as "Not groovy, baby".
Making the announcement at a press conference on Friday, Mr Salmond parachuted in from the roof of St Andrew's House wearing a tuxedo before walking across the stage and stopping to stare down a camera lens.
At this point he arranged his thumb and forefinger into a pistol and said "pow pow" before blowing imaginary gunsmoke from his fingernail. Top SNP strategist Kevin Pringle stood off-stage loudly humming this throughout:
Mr Salmond said: "We have heard much scaremongering from the Dr. No camp about the impact on intelligence of a Yes vote. I want to put that to rest today by announcing Sir Sean Connery as the first chief of AyeSpy. I couldn't think of anyone better suited to defend Scotland's interests than Sir Sean. He is the iconic James Bond actor, a keen SNP supporter, and is familiar with Scottish airline security from flying in here from the Bahamas every other year."
The Scottish Government has already set up an underground laboratory where scientists are devising a range of gadgets to be used by AyeSpy agents. These are believed to include a Dundee Cake that doubles as a shoulder-mounted rocket launcher and a Bu Chòir badge that detects Unionist subversives by guaging their reaction to Gaelic.
A Downing Street source said the Prime Minister had been left shaken but not stirred by the news.

Rupert Murdoch Verified account
@rupertmurdoch
London Times will shock Britain and more with reliable new poll on Scottish independence. If right on 18 th vote everything up for grabs
It's only error is likely to be in underestimating the YES vote, if ongoing events at ground level are anything to go by. Unusually for a politician, Alex Salmond and other prominent YES people are getting rock star receptions on the streets, and the YES stalls and shops are running out of stickers, badges and other merchandise.
YES stickers and saltires are springing up all over the place.

Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
I just can't say, Lily. What is happening on the streets bears NO resemblance to the nonsense in the Mail, etc., or on the BBC. It's an eye-opener, when you see most of the media so blatantly lying for political ends.
I think - pray - it's going to be a YES win, but by how much, I can't even guess. I put my bet on for a YES win a week ago, when the odds were at 4/1. They've now shortened to 5/2.

This is getting really exciting. What a lying bunch some politicians are. I am not even going to think about failure. But I always have wondered why Cameron was so agin if he thinks that Scotland needs saving from itself. That was my first hint of suspicion that something funny was going on.

And two front pages guaranteed to lose the Oh Noes! even more votes:
'Incendiary' is a polite way of doing something so provocative. What does he think the Scots are going to do, burn Newcastle?
As for this:
Perfect time for the troughers to display their naked greed, not.

Re: Scareforce One Makes Day Trip To Aberdeen
The Unionists are going to get really dirty now, Lily, just watch - they will try every trick in the book to derail things. I don't think they can stop it now, though. No-one's impressed with the tired old hasbeens like Gordon Brown they're parachuting in. And no-one's going to believe their promises of jam tomorrow. Westminster's had decades - centuries to sort this.
It's never been a particularly happy union, not from the first minute of the bribed aristocrats signing the damned document, while the people of Edinburgh rioted outside. The unionists always forget things like that. They like to forget that the early agitators for workers' rights in the Industrial Revolution also campaigned for our parliament to return.
You won't see this in the official history of our glorious, happy union:
http://www.theyworkforyou.com/sp/?id=2001-09-05.2251.0
Education Curriculum (1820 Martyrs)
On a bright summer's afternoon, on 30 August 1820, a crowd of 20,000 people gathered on Glasgow green to watch the execution of a Strathaven weaver, James Wilson.
After taking part in a simple religious service and drinking the customary glass of wine, Wilson, dressed in white, was dragged to the bottom of the scaffold in a black, horse-drawn hurdle. He then mounted the scaffold with his captors, to hisses and shouts of "Murder!" from the sympathetic crowd. The 60-year-old radical was hanged, then beheaded. The sentence of quartering could not be carried out because of the hostility of the crowd. A few days later, in Broad Street, Stirling, Andrew Hardie and John Baird met the same fate as Wilson.
Those three men were murdered by the state for believing in workers' rights and Scottish independence. Why do so few people in Scotland know about that vital part of Scottish history? Far from schoolchildren having any knowledge of that episode, even history teachers in Scotland are generally ignorant of the story.
Beheading people! How barbaric!
Neither will you see many mention that 100 years ago, both Ireland and Scotland were supposed to get Home Rule, as it was known then.
It was abandoned because of WW1. Ireland took matters into her own hands, and Scotland was forgotten yet again.
Look beneath the myth of the 'world's most succesful union' and the picture is very different indeed from what the Unionists want people to believe.

They aren't fit to be trusted, Lily. They've broken every promise they've ever made. Also, the way things are going down south, England is likely to vote in some ghastly combination of Boris Johnson in coalition with Nigel Farage. Who will make a point of stripping any extra powers so graciously given previously to Edinburgh.
There is only one way to stop yet more of Scotland's assets being squandered by Westminster, and be safe from those corrupt, lying gits, and that's to vote YES.
And I hope a YES vote here would wake up English voters, make them realise they don't have to put up the present system, that they can change things for the better.
