MH370: 'Highly Unlikely' Debris Will Be Found
After 40 days of searching the Indian Ocean, officials say floating debris from the plane will have become waterlogged and sunk.

Re: Malaysia Airlines plane vanishes over Vietnam
Unbelievable!
http://news.sky.com/story/1271040/missing-plane-search-boat-may-have-made-pings
A US Navy official has claimed underwater signals detected in the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines plane came from a search boat or the ping detector itself.
Michael Dean, the US Navy's deputy director of ocean engineering, said there is now international agreement the sounds came from a source unrelated to flight MH370.
He added that if the pings came from the plane's black box or voice recorders they would have been found by now.
"Our best theory at this point is that (the pings were) likely some sound produced by the ship... or within the electronics of the towed pinger locator," he told CNN.
"Always your fear any time you put electronic equipment in the water is that if any water gets in and grounds or shorts something out, that you could start producing sound."
The pinger locator was towed by the Australian ship Ocean Shield to listen for underwater signals in the southern Indian Ocean in an area where satellite data indicated the plane went down.
A series of signals it picked up prompted Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott to say he was "very confident" they were from the black box of the plane that vanished en route to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur with 239 people on board.
But Australia's Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) has confirmed that Ocean Shield has now left an area of 850 sq km (340 sq miles) that was being scoured for the passenger jet that disappeared without trace on March 8.
A statement released by Australia's Joint Agency Coordination Centre said: "The ATSB has advised that the search in the vicinity of the acoustic detections can now be considered complete and in its professional judgement, the area can now be discounted as the final resting place of MH370."
The news will add to the agony of the families of the 239 people who were on the flight and who have campaigned tirelessly for authorities not to give up the search.
Some 47 pages of raw satellite data tracking the last known movements of MH370 were released a few days ago following calls from the families for the information to be made public so it could be verified by independent experts.
Despite today's statement, a US Navy spokesman said Mr Dean's comments were "speculative and premature".
Anyone checked Diego Garcia yet? You know, the secret military base in the Indian Ocean with all those hangers and long runways?

Re: Malaysia Airlines plane vanishes over Vietnam
Investigation under way after 13 airlines mysteriously vanish from radars in Europe for 25 MINUTES in 'unprecedented' incident
The incidents on June 5 and Tuesday saw flight data disappear
A total of 13 planes suddenly vanished on two occasions
Happened over Austria and neighbouring European countries
It is believed some of the planes were long-haul flights carrying passengers
Air traffic control was carried out 'blind' during blackouts

Re: Malaysia Airlines plane vanishes over Vietnam
A former airline boss and writer claims the U.S. downed Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 because the military feared it had been taken over by hackers and was about to be used in a 9/11-style attack.
Marc Dugain, the former chief executive of now-defunct Proteus Airlines, said the jumbo jet was shot down near a U.S. military base on the remote island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean after it was hacked.
He told Paris Match that islanders in the Maldives near Diego Garcia told him they saw the missing aircraft flying low.
Dugain spoke of a fisherman on a small island who spoke of a 'huge plane' in Malaysie Airline's colours on March 8.

Now there's a Theory that makes pretty much perfect sense. Not that it will ever be admitted, should it be anything like the truth, any more than the truth about MH17 is ever likely to be told in the West.
Anyone that thinks Washington, via NSA and the other alphabet agencies, doesn't know EXACTLY what happened to both planes, is too naive for their own safety.

Re: Malaysia Airlines plane vanishes over Vietnam
Of course they do. I think we reached that conclusion fairly soon after it happened once the words 'Diego Garcia' were mentioned?

Malaysia has officially declared the loss of flight MH370 was an accident and all on board are dead.
The announcement was in accordance with civil aviation rules, said Malaysia's aviation director-general Azharuddin Abdul Rahman, adding that the announcement ends the search for the aircraft and would help families of those on board to apply for compensation.
"It is with the heaviest heart and deepest sorrow that we officially declare Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 an accident," said Mr Azharuddin in a broadcast on Malaysian television.
"We officially declare Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 an accident and that all 239 of the passengers and crew onboard are presumed to have lost their lives," he added.
Oh well, there you are then, nothing to see here, move along, folks.
I watched a documentary a few nights ago, where pilots, etc., discussed various things that could have happened to the flight - everything was ruled out.
Then someone mentioned Deigo Garcia. I nearly bust a rib laughing when it was explained why Diego Garcia couldn't be involved.
The reason was that that would mean the US and other governments were involved in an enormous cover-up, and that was unthinkable.

Very good questions, Pedro, but no-one official is showing any signs of answering them. I don't believe the plane just 'vanished accidentally'.

Thank goodness they reached that conclusion. We all know it to be true.....
Where are the remains? That's easy.....

Oh look, it's Diego Garcia and something the US/US would rather had stayed covered up!
