http://www.infowars.com/chinese-illegals-pay-up-to-30000-to-enter-u-s-through-mexico/
Illegal immigrants arriving from as far away as China pay up to $30,000 to be smuggled into the U.S. through Mexico, a Border Patrol agent has revealed, highlighting the fact that people from all over the world, not just Central America, are penetrating the southern border due to lackadaisical enforcement of immigration laws.
Federal agents in South Texas apprehended two groups of Chinese illegal immigrants yesterday, some of whom were suffering from heat exhaustion after making the perilous trek through Mexico’s harsh terrain.
Agents greeted the dazed and confused Asian immigrants with water bottles, and despite immense language barriers, were able to communicate to them that they had indeed reached “America.”
Taking a cue from the current surge, agents say people from more than 143 countries have attempted to illegally bypass the southern border. Over the weekend, for instance, agents apprehended a diverse group of immigrants from countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

Whoever could have forseen that happening - besides anyone with a functioning brain cell?

Iranian opposition leaders press Obama administration to back them, seek regime change
Behrooz Sarshar has clear hopes for his native Iran: “We want to be free, independent, and a good friend for America and the West. This is what we want."
A former colonel in the Iranian police under the reign of the shah, he is one of a group of activists supporting The Iranian Democracy Front, a coalition of 30 opposition groups that met on Capitol Hill earlier this week to press for democracy in Iran.
The conference, "Human Rights Violations in Iran," highlighted the Iranian regime’s dismal record on human records and its disputed nuclear program while calling on the West to continue to pressure the regime in Tehran.
The group is now demanding that the Obama administration throw its support behind the Iranian opposition, tighten sanctions on Tehran and pursue policies that will lead to the end of the regime.
"Help the Iranian people, let us be free," Sarshar said. "Genuine support means helping the opposition groups."
A former colonel in the Iranian police under the reign of the shah
Ah yes, those well-known humanitarians. I wonder how much the CIA is paying this shower, who were all in Washington recently.
I have an idea for world peace. It involves 'regime change' in Washington, and them being banned from EVER meddling in other nation's politics again. Especially nations thousands of miles away - they've caused more than enough death, destruction and chaos.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2014/07/30/house-approves-lawsuit-against-obama-over-alleged-abuse-executive-power/?intcmp=latestnews
House approves lawsuit against Obama over alleged abuse of executive power
The House on Wednesday approved a highly contentious lawsuit against President Obama over his alleged abuse of executive power, teeing up an election-year legal battle sure to spill onto the midterm campaign trail.
The House backed the lawsuit resolution on a vote of 225-201, with all Democrats opposed.
Republicans say the lawsuit is necessary to keep the president in constitutional check, after he allegedly exceeded his authority with unilateral changes to the Affordable Care Act.
Democrats branded the effort a political charade aimed at stirring up GOP voters for this fall's congressional elections. They also said it's an effort by top Republicans to mollify conservatives who want Obama to be impeached -- something House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, said he has no plans to do.
“We have no plans to impeach the president. We have no future plans. Listen, it's all a scam, started by Democrats at the White House,” Boehner said Tuesday.
Following the vote, National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Greg Walden issued a statement saying, “President Obama swore an oath to uphold the Constitution—an oath he has not fully lived up to. Today, the House took an important step to defend the Constitution and hold the president accountable.”

Will anything come of this, Lily, or is it just a stunt?

It could take a while Bonny. I do think that with the November elections coming up and Obama's popularity at it's lowest point ever, it will be hard for him to hold onto the Senate let alone take back the House.

As I've said before, Lily, I would LOVE to see Obama have to defend himself in front of the baying mob that is the House of Commons when it's annoyed about something. I don't think he'd last five minutes, frankly, all his weaknesses, his inability to speak without a teleprompter, and the colossal whoppers he so readily tells would be exposed.

I don't know what he said, Lily, I put it off, I couldn't follow it at all...he seemed to be promising more hope'n'change for the US economy, but I couldn't be sure. Whatever it was, he will have been lying.
If he's doing things to 'help' the US economy, I suggest you sell any shares you may have and buy gold.

Obama: 'We Tortured Some Folks After 9/11'
The President says the US crossed the line and "did things that were contrary to our values" while detaining terrorism suspects.
By Sky News US Team
President Barack Obama has said the US "tortured some folks" in the immediate aftermath of the September 11 attacks.
He was speaking on Friday at the White House about a Senate Intelligence Committee investigation into CIA interrogation procedures under president George W Bush.
"In the immediate aftermath of 9/11 we did some things that were wrong," he said.
"We did a whole lot of things that were right, but we tortured some folks.
"We did things that were contrary to our values."
The Senate investigation focused on tactics such as waterboarding and secret prisons for terrorism suspects after 9/11.
Officials familiar with the report say it concludes the use of coercive interrogations did not produce any significant counter-terrorism breakthrough in the years after the al Qaeda attacks.
The findings are to be released in the coming weeks.
Mr Obama said he believed the methods were used because US security officials were under pressure at the time to prevent another attack.
Americans should not be too "sanctimonious" in retrospect, he added.
Mr Obama also said on Friday that he had full confidence in CIA director John Brennan.
His comments came a day after Mr Brennan apologised after admitting his staff had spied on the Senate investigation into his agency.
The CIA's inspector general found the agency had improperly searched the computers of congressional staff.
There have been calls for Mr Brennan to resign because only months ago he strenuously denied his employees had snooped on the Senate inquiry, in a rare public spat with the committee chairwoman.
---------
IMO, the US acheived absolutely NOTHING by torturing 'suspects'. Any fule knowe information gained by duress is valueless; they've have been better employed having a friendly chat over a few bottles of good malt whisky.
Oh, sorry, the CIA did achieve something - there are now more genuine 'terrorists' than ever. The word 'terrorist' has been bandied about so readily, it's just about meaningless now.

Re: Syrian terrorists being trained by US
How embarrassing!
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-08-03/israel-eavesdropped-john-kerry
When it comes to diplomacy, John Kerry may have rapidly become the biggest laughing joke in US State Department history, but that doesn't mean his exchanges weren't valuable to others. Others such as Israel, whose relations with the US have gone from worse to atrocious in recent months, and which as Spiegel just revealed, had eavesdropped on John Kerry on at least one occasion, during Mid-East peace negotiations. Israel would then use the information obtained from the calls during its own negotiations in the Mideast conflict.
Further, Spiegel reports that at least one other intelligence service also listened in as Kerry mediated last year between Israel, the Palestinians and the Arab states. The German publications adds wryly that "revelations of the eavesdropping could further damage already tense relations between the US government and Israel" although with Netanyahu openly refusing Obama's demands about a Gaza ceasefire, one wonders just how much worse things between the two "allies" could get.

Obama: 'Russia doesn't make anything'
US president downplays Russia's role in the world, saying Vladimir Putin's actions will hurt country in the long-term.
Barack Obama, the US president, has dismissed Russia as a nation that "doesn't make anything" in an interview with the Economist magazine.
Obama downplayed Moscow's role in the world, saying that Vladimir Putin, Russia's president, was a leader causing short-term trouble for political gain that would hurt Russia in the long term.
"I do think it's important to keep perspective. Russia doesn't make anything," Obama said. "Immigrants aren't rushing to Moscow in search of opportunity. The life expectancy of the Russian male is around 60 years old. The population is shrinking."
Russia is the world's third-largest oil producer and second-largest natural gas producer. Europe relies heavily on Russian energy exports, complicating the West's response to the Ukraine crisis.
Speaking of what he called Russia's "regional challenges," Obama said: "We have to make sure that they don't escalate where suddenly nuclear weapons are back in the discussion of foreign policy."
Obama told Putin last week that he believes Russia violated the 1988 Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces treaty designed to eliminate ground-launched cruise missiles.
Firm with China
Obama described US tensions with China as "manageable." China is engaged in territorial disputes with its neighbors in the oil-rich South China Sea, and frequently skirmishes with the West over intellectual property issues.
"One thing I will say about China, though, is you also have to be pretty firm with them, because they will push as hard as
they can until they meet resistance," Obama told the Economist .
"They're not sentimental, and they are not interested in abstractions. And so simple appeals to international norms are insufficient," he said.
Obama said he believes trade tensions will ease when China shifts "from simply being the low-cost manufacturer of the world" and its companies begin making higher-value items that need intellectual property protections.
"There have to be mechanisms both to be tough with them when we think that they're breaching international norms, but also to show them the potential benefits over the long term," he said.
No doubt about it now - the community organiser is an imbecile.

Re: Syrian terrorists being trained by US
Just think, Lily, if Putin was your president, your borders would be closed, Ebola patients wouldn't be being flown into the country, and Harry Reid and co would have been slung into Gitmo, having been parted from their ill-gotten gains and it 'donated' to fund healthcare and education. You'd be building trade relationships with other countries instead of regime-changing them into 'freedom and democracy' so their assets could be looted and your troops would be at home defending America instead of doing God knows what in the Middle East and elsewhere....
Good Heavens, even China would have jailed Harry Reid for corruption!
Correction, China would have shot him by now....
