Ms Sutton had been recently appointed IWPR's Iraq director after her predecessor Ammar Al Shahbander was killed in a car bomb attack in Baghdad.

She had been in London last week at Mr Al Shahbander's memorial service before heading back to Iraq at the weekend.

"It had been an emotional and ultimately inspirational memorial service," Mr Borden said.

Several other people who worked with Ms Sutton have had similar doubts about the events surrounding her death.

The State Department inadvertently released the name of a CIA source who is suspected of being the main plotter behind the 1988 Lockerbie, Scotland airline bombing, and the House Select Committee on Benghazi republished the mistake this week.
The CIA told Congress that the name of the alleged secret agency source was not considered by the agency to be a major secret.
The name was mentioned but then partially redacted by the State Department from an email received on Hillary Clinton's private server.
At issue is Moussa Koussa, a one-time intelligence chief for Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi, whose name was mentioned in an email Clinton received four years ago from her close confidant Sidney Blumenthal.

The MoD spokesman reported that direct airstrike eliminated a number of militant leaders holding a meeting in the vicinity of the town of Sarmin in Idlib province.

“Last night the drones registered nine SUVs with mounted machine-guns arriving at the scene. A Sukhoi Su-34 bomber attacked the installation with a guided KAB-500 air bomb, which wiped the target out with everything that was inside,” Konashenkov said.

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday its intelligence had overheard Islamic State commanders talking to Al-Nusra Front about uniting forces against the Syrian Army.
The Russian Air Force eliminated 83 militant targets in 46 sorties in the last 24 hours, bombing terrorist groups in five Syrian provinces, destroying camps, warehouses, vehicles and workshops, the MoD’s spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said in a briefing on Wednesday.

The airstrikes hit targets of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) and Al-Nusra Front in the provinces of Aleppo, Damascus, Deir al-Zor, Hama, Idlib and Latakia.

“An airstrike by a Sukhoi Su-25SM ground-support fighter jet group eliminated a large compound of Al-Nusra Front [Al-Qaeda’s branch in Syria] near the city of Khan-Shaykhun, together with all infrastructure, arms depots and vehicles,” he said.

The spokesman said that another Al-Nusra Front installation, a workshop producing radio-controlled improvised explosive devices and explosives storage site, was destroyed near the city of Aleppo....more at link.

Iraq's ruling alliance has written to the country’s prime minister, requesting Russian help in the fight against ISIS terrorists. An Iraqi politician told RT that the public wants Russian involvement and there is breakdown in trust with the Americans.

“The largest bloc has sent a request to the prime minister to add further forces to the fight against terrorism and not only to rely on the United States and the international coalition, which has up till now been rather shy in its efforts to destroy [Islamic State] bases in Iraq,” Saad Al-Matlabi, a member of the country's State of Law Coalition, told RT.

“Therefore it is understandable that the Iraqi parliament and the defense committee would send a request to the prime minister to add more forces and in particular the forces of the Russian Federation, which has proved quite efficient in destroying [Islamic State] bases in neighboring Syria.”

The Iraqi politician told RT that the US has been “shy” in its efforts to try and eliminate the threat posed by Islamic State (formerly ISIS/ISIL). He also mentioned that not only is there a consensus amongst Iraqi politicians for Moscow to be involved, but also from the general public.

“The public mood is definitely in favor of Russian involvement because it has been over a year and a half now and ISIS has flourished in Iraq under the American airstrikes. One could question the honesty and integrity of the US airstrikes.”...more at link.

The Western world's conception of "good guys"/ "bad guys" has officially been turned on its head.
