I simply don't understand what any of The World expects Israel to do. Just give in? Every bloody time they do that they just get bombarded again.

Hamas want them Dead. There is no middle way. Eradicate The Jews. Rid the earth of this scourge. But, not this time. It ends now. And it will.

Please note, there are three Jewish MPs in the Iranian parliament; why Israel keeps claiming to be the 'only democracy' in the Middle East rather escapes me.

LL, Rabbi Ahron Cohen spoke beautifully and with truth. If I may say this, I believe that the Jewish people, like him, are the ones who practice their religion correctly and are to be admired. In this day and age, it is difficult to be very religious but I am glad that some continue on.

I wish that more Zionists took to heart this Rabbi's words.

When Ahmed Owedat returned to his home 18 days after Israeli soldiers took it over in the middle of the night, he was greeted with an overpowering stench.

He picked through the wreckage of his possessions thrown from upstairs windows to find that the departing troops had left a number of messages. One came from piles of faeces on his tiled floors and in wastepaper baskets, and a plastic bottle filled with urine.

If that was not clear enough, the words "feck Hamas" had been carved into a concrete wall in the staircase. "Burn Gaza down" and "Good Arab = dead Arab" were engraved on a coffee table. The star of David was drawn in blue in a bedroom.

"I have scrubbed the floors three times today and three times yesterday," said Owedat, 52, as he surveyed the damage, which included four televisions, a fridge, a clock and several computers tossed out of windows, shredded curtains and slashed soft furnishings.

A handful of plastic chairs had their seats ripped open, through which the occupying soldiers defecated, he said. Gaping holes had been blown in four ground-floor external walls, and there was damage from shelling to the top floor. There, in the living room, diagrams had been drawn on the walls, showing buildings and palm trees in the village, with figures that Owedat thought represented their distance from the border.

"I have no money to fix this," he said, claiming that his life savings of $10,000 (£6,000) were missing from his apartment. But at least it could be repaired, he acknowledged, gesturing through the broken glass at a wasteland stretching towards the Israel-Gaza border 3km away. "Every house between here and there has been destroyed."

No, it isn't. It's a child-killing, repressive state. If Israel wants to defend itself - fair enough. It can fire back 'rockets' with the same destructive force as the Hamas firecrackers, instead of using tanks, drones and 500lb bombs to kill civilians,

Or the much-vaunted Israeli army could go into Gaza on foot and grab the men launching rockets.

Oh, and there's one rather important reason why Israel is anything BUT innocent. Israel is the occupying force, and Palestinians are entitled by international law to defend THEMSELVES.

Israel's new "PRists", pundits, propagandists like Benjamin Netanyahu, Dore Gold, Ron Dremer, Mark Regev are political midgets in comparison to the first generation of Israelis like Moshe Sharett, David Ben Gurion, Abba Eban and even Golda Meir and Shimon Peres.

The new establishment pundits are media parasites armed with tricks, but with little or no capacity to connect to the real world beyond a soundbite. They speak like mercenaries and commandos, not like generals or statesmen.

They're a right bunch of smarmy gits, they don't even seem to believe their own lies, and the female ones in particular cannot cope if anyone asks them a 'difficult' question.

Israel and its supporters are giving the impression they want to stop ALL dissent, wherever it is.

As my Jewish friend says, if you are a Jew then the Zionist Israelis believe you should NOT critisize anything they do, as Zionists can never make mistakes. As the Chosen People they are far above the common herd. I believe that Jews should have their own state, their own place in the sun, but I do NOT believe that the outright theft of another people's land and the killing of civilians, the spreading of false propoganda and other aligned methods are the right way to go about it. That smacks too much for me of the Hitler ideology and the evil Lebensraum principle, "we need more living space, so let's invade the next country, kill or drive out the indigenous population and take the land for ourselves". It failed for Hitler, it failed for the Romans, the Ottomans, the Soviets, in fact that idea has failed each time anyone has tried to apply it. LL
