Well, there's the rub, Bonny. Lack of self esteem. No knowledge of who they are, or care for anyone other than themselves. They simply don't think beyond anything that doesn't involve them.

I have said this before, and I do think that it is important, at least to me. But we as people don't have a right to think that we are better than them. We are just different, and far more fortunate.

Think on The Parable of the man who said, "Thank You God for making me better than other men." I am not better than other men. And The Sin of Pride is the greatest Sin of all. But then I am fortunate enough to know that. It colours everything that I do or say.
Have I ever jumped to the wrong conclusion? Have I ever been gratuitously unkind? Have I ever ignored someone who needed help because it was too much like hard work?
Of course I have. But then I have never thought that I was perfect. Far from it.

This isn't a homely for Easter. I don't actually believe in a conventional God. Just in a half hearted attempt to be a better person. Which is why I can always try to hope.

I think what probably comes into play for us is that we cannot abide to see people who have suffered so greatly, kicked when they are at their lowest.  

We can put ourselves into their shoes and furthermore, we are not bullies, you see.

Lily, I am only going to reply in kind. I cannot actually blame them because I don't think that they know of what they do.

And that seriously has nothing to do with what Jesus said. Except that He said it long, long before I did. Presuming that one believes in the existence of Jesus, of course.
Personally, I think He was just a nice man who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

But it will never be my place to forgive these people. Or actually even to understand them. I can only hope to counter their excesses , if even that is important. Which it probably isn't.

I believe Gerry was showing off when he said he wasn't going to comment on Robert Murat. Gerry had probably fantasised about saying 'no comment' to a crowd of paparazzi for years and no doubt gone through a few imaginary interviews with Paxman where he came out top. It is all part of Gerry's make up, he imagines situations, then he makes them real.

Someone around here imagines situations and makes them real, and I think we all know who it is.

Nope. Can't do it, Sabot. I can see Bennett's splattered the page with words, but they don't seem to make any sense, there doesn't appear to be any logic or reason to them at all.

The only conclusion must be that Bennett it a fantasist.

Mutton doesn't half spout some pish.

It's the sheer nastiness of it all that defeats me on occasions. They must post with gritted teeth and clenched stomachs and generally be in a state of perpetual rage. This surely can't be good for their general health.

It's ugly, isn't it? Every debunked forum myth, every libellous tabloid invention, regurgitated with a fresh coating of bile and hater cliches.

It's most unpleasant, and suggests an extremely unhealthy mental state, IMO.
