Re: Dis-United Kingdom General Election campaign officially kicks off
Some bigwig from The Tory Party would descend and tell us all what to do at the time of The Election, and never be seen again, until the next time
Yes, that sounds about right.

Top Doctors Criticise 'Broken Promises' On NHS
The Conservatives claim a letter written by 100 doctors attacking the Coalition's NHS record has been orchestrated by Labour.
Politicians playing dirty tricks in election campaigns? I am shocked! Whoever would believe they could sink so low!

Re: Dis-United Kingdom General Election campaign officially kicks off
I confess, I watched that debate, and it's one of the worst I have seen. The format was dreadful, and most of the audience appeared to have been bussed up from Tunbridge Wells to be Disgusted. They were the most peculiar bunch of people...

Love the photos of the people in the audience. They look like they were bussed in by central casting.

Re: Dis-United Kingdom General Election campaign officially kicks off
I still have a headache from that woeful bunfight last night....it's one of the worst I have seen, and I have NO idea where on earth the audience came from. STV must have scoured Morningside tearooms for the blue rinse brigade and St Andrews Tory students - or put an ad in the Daily Mail. I don't recall anyone from a working class Scots family being there, there was no-one from the Asian community, the Greens weren't invited - it was more like some kind of horrible hangover from the Thatcher years.
Bernard Ponsonby, the chair, was dreadful, and was shouted down by Davidson the Tory female and Murphy the Labour clown several times. Murphy announced in the middle of one shouting match that if Labour got in, they would give every 16 year old a £1,800 nest egg, but there was so much uproar going on, and it was so badly managed, no-one got a chance to go, WTF?
There's another bunfight on the BBC tonight - at least Patrick Harvie of the Greens has been asked to this one. Also present will be Jabba the Hutt of UKIP:
EuroMP Coburn can always be relied upon to make a tw@t of himself.
It shows how bad last night's effort was when the star of the evening was a false moustache being worn by a Dundee taxi driver....
http://www.thecourier.co.uk/news/scotland/dundee-fake-tache-guy-steals-show-at-leaders-debate-1.861340
A Dundee taxi driver stole the show at the Scottish leaders’ debate after his fake moustache became the talk of the Internet.
Danny McAfee, 54, started trending on Twitter after sneaking the ’tache into the studio, with commenters including Jeremy Vine and singer Amy Macdonald speculating on his identity.
Danny told The Courier: “I’m not going to realize how big it’s all become until tomorrow, it’s unreal.
“I decided to wear it as soon as I was going to be on the telly in a live audience where they can’t do anything about it.
“Security did tell me to get rid of it when they went to the second advert break. They said to get rid of it or I’d get bunged out.
“I bought the hat to wear, but the moustache was just a joke — but the hat and moustache together was a classic comedy face.”
Danny became aware of his new-found fame when audience chatter started to reach him.
He said: “The people in the front said ‘Jeremy Vine is talking about you, and Frankie Boyle is tweeting about you’.
“I could see Nicola Sturgeon and Willie Rennie looking at me discussing the fact they thought I had a fake moustache.
“Politics is boring,” he said.
“You need a bit of fun in there.”

Re: Dis-United Kingdom General Election campaign officially kicks off
Nearly forgot. There was one wince-makingly awful scene when a well-spoken young lady was asking Murphy (L) none too difficult questions.
He did his spiel, then she said, Thank you Mr Murphy, you have convinced me, I will be voting Labour.
Groans went round every living room in the land, at such an obviously rehearsed act.

Re: Dis-United Kingdom General Election campaign officially kicks off
Just a reminder of how beloved the Tories are in Scotland, as from the MSM, one would be forgiven for thinking that Ruth Davidson is about to take over as First Minister:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruth_Davidson
Ruth Elizabeth Davidson (born 10 November 1978) is a Scottish politician, currently leader of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party and Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Glasgow regional list.
After graduating from Edinburgh University, she worked as a BBC journalist and signaller in the Territorial Army. After leaving the BBC in 2009 to study at Glasgow University, Davidson joined the Conservative Party, and was the party's candidate in the Glasgow North East constituency at a 2009 by-election and at the 2010 general election, finishing in respectively 3rd and 4th place, with approximately 5% of the vote.
In the 2011 Scottish Parliament election, Davidson stood for election in the Glasgow Kelvin constituency and on the Glasgow regional list. She finished in 4th place in the former, but was successful in the latter, and following party leader Annabel Goldie's resignation in May 2011, Davidson stood in the subsequent leadership election. She won the contest and was declared party leader on 4 November 2011.[1]
Ms Davidson would stand even less of a chance in the UK Tories because of her personal life:
Davidson is a member of the Church of Scotland and counts dog walking, hillwalking and kickboxing as her hobbies.[36][37] She is a lesbian.[38][39] In February 2015 she appeared in a broadcast with her partner, Jen Wilson, a 33-year-old woman of Irish background.[40
Can you imagine the Daily Mail and Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells tolerating a gay woman and her partner in No 10?
No, me neither.

Ah, but their wierdos try to hide it, Sabot.....Just look at William Hague - if you can bear it.
The UKIP guy that got in as a list MEP is the worst. He's revolting, rude, obnoxious, racist...and must also be the only gay in Britain that doesn't approve of gay marriage.
I must make it clear that I don't care who marries who, they're all grown adults, and rather fail to see what the fuss is about.

Awesome, Lily.
There's another Scottishbunfight debate tonight, in Aberdeen this time. I assumed it was going out live, but apparently it's pre-recorded. The excuse being that UKIP-er Coburn is liable to say, well, just about anything, especially anything racist and abusive.

I can't tell you what he's saying, but David Coburn is already delivering the goods at the #leadersdebate
Cynics think it's so the Mouth of Westminster aka the BBC can cut out Murphy (L) making up party policy as he goes along again, like promising 16-year-olds £££££££s so they canspend the summer in Ibiza out of their heads further their education.

Well, that was yet more car crash TV. Murphy(L) shouted over the top of everyone. Coburn (UKIP) was absolutely obnoxious - so bad the other five stopped arguing with each other and turned on him.

I've just realised why last week's big debate was so much better - Murphy wasn't in it. He always starts shouting over the others, they raise their voices to try to be heard, and next thing you know, it's just a shouting match. And the last two chairs haven't really kept control too well.

You should have seen the performance that fat slug Coburn put on last night, BomDia, he didn't even bother trying to hide it. His only saving grace is that he reminds UKIP -ers exactly what they voted for when he slithered in via the List by 10,000 votes in the European elections, and he can't actually do any damage.

Oil Find Near Gatwick May Be 'World Class'
The discovery of up to 100 billion barrels has the potential to dwarf North Sea production but just a fraction is accessible
The estimated size of an oil find near Gatwick Airport has been upgraded to 100 billion barrels.
UK Oil & Gas Investments (UKOG) said the Horse Hill-1 well in the Weald Basin was now thought to hold 158 million barrels per square mile.
In May 2014, the British Geological Survey estimated the Weald Basin to hold around 4.4 billion barrels of shale oil.
Stephen Sanderson, the chief executive of UKOG described the find as a possible "world class" resource with the potential for "significant daily oil production."...full story at link.
Oh good, London can p*ss its own oil revenues up the wall on illegal wars and vanity projects this time.

Ukip candidate's 'secret life' as porn star called Johnny Rockard is revealed
10:29, 9 April 2015 By Laura Elvin
John Langley has previously been threatened with legal action after he filmed a mucky movie on a university campus
A Ukip candidate has been revealed to have a secret life as a porn baron called Johnny Rockard who stars in seedy adult films.
Balding John Langley appears in mucky movies with younger women despite being vice chairman for the party in Bristol.
The 49-year-old is also standing as a candidate in the city's elections next month, but despite his other job, Langley insists he has nothing to be embarrassed about.
He said: "This is no big deal. It is just electioneering and it is the type of thing you expect in the run up to any election.
"I have never made a big deal out of what I do and I am not breaking any laws."
He added: "Ukip is a working class party which appeals to working class people.
"Normal people go to the pub and enjoy a pint and then probably go home and enjoy adult entertainment. What people do in their private lives is really up to them.
"What people do in the privacy of their own homes is nothing to do with politics and I cannot see why there should be any problem with any of this."
Langley is a 30-year veteran of the porn industry but now refers to himself as a talent scout, manager and promoter where he goes by the name of Johnny Rockard.
Ukip bosses have also said they have no problem with his "unusual" line of work which Langley revealed to them when he put himself forward for election.
Langley is currently vice chair of the Bristol branch of Ukip and stood for election in May 2014 in Brislington East where he came second with 886 votes....full toe-curling story at link.
