Flyers have been put up in Cardiff urging Muslims not to vote as democracy "violates the right of Allah".
The notices were put up on lamp-posts and bus stops on Friday morning in Grangetown - an area with a significant Muslim population.
Many have been ripped off and Cardiff council said a cleaning team will remove any remaining ones.
A trustee for the Muslim Council of Wales said the posters did not reflect views of the majority of Muslims.
That would be George Galloway out of a seat.

Well, they haven't really thought this through, Lily. It's not as if many other people are going to vote for George Galloway, and he's in danger of losing his seat as it is.
Actually, it doesn't even make a great deal of sense, unless they are some strange clan of Islamo-anarchists.....

What a crybaby. If he thinks the Voice of Whitehall is biased against UKIP, he needs to take a look at their hatred of the SNP.
Here's a clue - it is nothing to do with 'left' or 'right'.

In reality, once the election is over, they will all squabble/ form alliances till its sorted out. Meanwhile, the Civil Service will carry on actually running the country, life will carry on as normal and the sun will keep on shining.

It took them about a week last time, if you recall, Lily. Brown wouldn't leave Downing Street, but no-one was willing to go along with him.

I am surprised SLab hasn't wheeled him out to make one of his supposedly inspirational speeches again, Lily. He isn't standing this time - doubtless he is heading for a soft seat in the Lords on £300 a day expenses.
Or maybe they don't dare produce him, as he will be rapidly reminded of his role in The Vow.

I'm amazed they didn't see this coming.
Oh, I know, Westminster wanted SNP to rule Scotland. They were just being cruel to be kind. They aren't the self seeking barstards everyone thought they were.

Westminster seems to forget that the SNP has been running Scotland pretty efficiently for the last eight years, Sabot. They haven't got everything right, no government can, but they've done a pretty good job on the pocket money we get back from our OWN revenue.
And they have done this while staying within a set budget.
I find it most amusing that London seems to have forgotten all that Love Bombing we got during the referendum. All the, Please don't go, Scotland, we Love you. That's gone out the window; instead, the most disgusting sexist abuse is being hurled at Ms Sturgeon, and racist abuse is being hurled at Scotland in general.
I don't think mainstream England has a clue about modern Scotland, frankly. I can't remember where, but I saw some muppet saying, Oh, the Scots will never get rid of the nuclear submarines, they'd miss all that money the Yank sailors spend in Holy Loch.
In reality, the last 'Yank sailor' sailed away in 1992 - A GENERATION AGO.
So no, we don't want a weapon of mass suicide in our water - especially as London thinks Trident is too dangerous to park at Devenport.
Trident only supplies some 500 jobs in the Faslane area. Far more will be created when it goes and Faslane is used as the western base of the Scottish Navy.
And there will be one - it's essential. Did you know that there is currently NOTHING sensible patrolling our waters? No frigates, nothing? Cameron slashed it all to the bone, along with coastguards and RAF bases. Scots may be anti-Trident, but they are NOT pacifists, imagining the world is full of rainbows and unicorns.
But hey, we've got a frigging nuclear submarine. Which is as much use as a chocolate teapot unless you are contemplating committing national suicide

Re: Dis-United Kingdom General Election campaign officially kicks off
http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2013/jan/04/mod-nuclear-submarines-scotland-plymouth
Britain's nuclear-armed submarines cannot be moved from Scotland to the Devonport naval base in Plymouth because they do not have safety clearances to dock there.
The disclosure has huge implications for the Ministry of Defence (MoD) if Scotland votes for independence and a new government demands the withdrawal of the nuclear fleet.
The MoD has revealed that the safety arrangements for Devonport do not permit the presence of submarines carrying Trident nuclear warheads. The MoD's safety experts are not considering changing that.
The problem is that the dockyard is in a densely populated area and, if there were an accident, thousands of people would be at risk. The worst accident scenario envisaged by the MoD would kill up to 11,000 people in Plymouth and would not meet the official criteria for what is acceptable, according to a new report.

TRIDENT nuclear bombs are too risky to be based in the south of England, but it’s fine for Scotland, according to the UK government.
The Ministry of Defence says that the nuclear submarines currently housed on the Clyde could not be moved to the Devonport base in Plymouth because an accident there would endanger too many lives.
Responding to a Freedom of Information request from the Scottish Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, the MoD said: “Neither the Devonport naval base nor the dockyard safety case permit the berthing of an armed submarine.”
At least 11,000 Plymouth citizens could be killed in a worst-accident scenario envisaged by the MoD, and that is deemed an unacceptable risk.
Why then does the MoD insist it’s fine to keep these killers anchored just 40 miles from Scotland’s biggest city and centre of population? Put starkly, Scots lives are worth less. Back in 2000 the MoD envisaged a hypothetical accident involving Trident in Faslane. It concluded “societal contamination” resulting from such a disaster was OK.
No wonder CND have thrown their weight behind an independent Scotland.
It’s the only way to get rid of these obscene weapons, whether we live in Devon or Dumbarton.
As far as I am concerned, if Westminster is so fond of them, they can dredge the Thames and moor them outside the Commons, not half an hour from Glasgow.

I remember Faslane when it was an ordinary Submarine Depot. I lived there, and very pretty it was too.
I saw The Vanguard being dismantled, which nearly broke my heart, but I suppose it had to go. This, along with other outdated warships provided lots of jobs.
Daily Mail Today. Peter Hitchens
Yet again Tory politicians and commentators are talking up the dull and mechanical Leftist Nicola Sturgeon.
I don’t myself think she is anything special, and am baffled by the praise she receives. But do the Tories have another agenda? Do they secretly want Scotland out of the Union? I am certain that they do. They’ll never say so openly, but former Tory Cabinet Minister Michael Portillo can afford to be frank now he’s become a BBC favourite.
He said in July 2006 that the Scots would probably be better off without English subsidies, adding: ‘From the point of political advantage, the Conservatives have a better chance of being in government if Scotland is not part of the affair.’
Challenged on this by Andrew Neil, he said: ‘You are continuing to assume the Union is sacrosanct. That is not an assumption I make any more.’
I wonder if the same thought has crossed other minds? It could explain the Government’s otherwise inexplicably clumsy handling of the independence referendum and its result.

Hitchens is a moron. If there is one thing Ms Sturgeon isn't, it's dull. She isn't even particularly 'leftist' by any sane standards, only by the standards of these greed is good, City boy spivs and tax dodgers that infest London politics these days. There's nothing in the SNP manifesto that would scare one of the old style 'One World' Tories, who were all in favour of making money - but WITHOUT trampling the rest of society underfoot to do it.
The Act of Union is only a piece of paper, Sabot. There's nothing sacrosanct about it. It was never a true 'union', it only happened because so much of the Scottish aristocracy had been bribed. Martial law was declared to save the signatories from being lynched in the streets by the outraged Scots people.
It also had an awful lot to do with London's terror of the Stuarts coming back, because until then, whatever the Kirk said, there was little to stop a Catholic becoming King or Queen of Scots. When that thing was signed, Scotland fell under English succession law.....
The real history of the Act of Union is NOT what has been widely taught in schools until now.
