You won't be surprised to know that the government changed the registration system, Lily. Instead of the perfectly sensible system previously, in which the named property owner or tenant got sent a form in which to list the eligible residents, now it's up to each individual to register themselves. Naturally, many people forget to do so until the last possible moment, at which point chaos ensues.

Someone remarked recently that if every single pensioner in Scotland was given a laptop or tablet, and instructions in using Google, they would want to storm the BBC themselves when they saw how much they'd been lied to.

Current oil prices are a case in point. London is acting as if this has somehow happened of its own accord. In reality, if you wade through financial blogs, it quickly becomes apparent that Saudi Arabia has driven down the prices deliberately by flooding the market, as part of their ally the US's economic war against Russia.

Thousands of jobs here and elsewhere in the world are nothing but collateral damage to them - p*ssing off Putin was more important than people's livelihoods.

Well, funnily enough quite a lot of English people aren't too happy either. And then there is Wales which has been vastly deprived. What share did they get? But then they had nothing to bargain with.
