Very strange verdict, very strange way to leak it in the Press without informing Amaral's lawyers.
Suspicious.
Anyway, G.Amaral will probably appeal in Portugal and in Strasbourg where they give a very important value to the freedom of speech.
A battle lost, not the war.

As has been repeatedly explained, it was NOT the McCanns that 'dragged out' the trial. It was Gonzo, with his succession of sick lawyers, unpaid lawyers, sacked lawyers, stunts, demands for documents, etc.

Let's take a look at the people the Gonzo fan club admire so much.

Flores - the masonic mayor that longs for the good old days when people were beaten up in police custody without questions being asked, and has led the campaign for the obscene 'sport' of bullfighting to be reintroduced in Portugal.

Manuel da Luz - Gonzo's chum the ex-mayor of Portimao, who is now facing a range of charges to do with the EU, fraud and money.

Tavares de Almeida - author of the half-time report they all set so much store by. Convicted of actual torture.

Paul Cristovao - currently in jail awaiting trial on just about every charge under the sun, involving intimidation, money-laundering, home invasions, etc.

Amoral - convicted of committing perjury to cover up torture.

And these are the creatures the McCann-haters idolise! They even have the gall to call themselves 'Truthseekers', when in reality they are nothing better than cheerleaders for a bunch of corrupt thugs that are leftovers from the bad old days of Fascism in Portugal.

This is shocking news. How can this have happened? When we were reading the reports of the trial it looked as though the judge was really on to them and was not to be persuaded by the show they were putting on. To me it just seems a complete turn around. Is this judge another person that was told what the outcome had to be? Just like the Met and everyone else that has been involved in this case.

Can't say libel more clearly than that.  

I realise the haters are in shock, having been told by the pretendy 'court reporters' that everything was going swimmingly, and having been given hope by Pied Pipers talking bollox about TOAST, but they seem quite incapable of processing today's information.

I hate to invoke Godwin's Law, but they're like the last of the fanatical nazis, still convicted tomorrow was going to bring a Miracle Weapon, while the Red Army parked its tanks over their bunkers.

Oh, and speaking of TOAST, one hears that Bullsh*t has flounced after today's humiliation. Probably to the nearest off-licence, if allegations made elsewhere are correct.
